Brown Hit Factory A family and our friends enjoying the hobby — pack rips, trades, and card show finds.

JJ ripped a brand new 2025 Topps Chrome Platinum hobby this afternoon.

At first, we thought the box was going to be a rough one. The autograph definitely wasn’t carrying the load. 😅

Then JJ pulled this Paul Skenes City Variation.

The best part? Neither of us really knew what we were looking at when it came out of the pack. That’s one of the coolest things about opening a brand new release—you’re learning the product as you go.

After looking it up, it appears these are selling in the low-to-mid $200 range.

Now the question becomes…

Do we sell it raw, or send it to PSA? 🤔

When you’re sitting front row at a Reds game, ripping packs just feels like the right thing to do.

So JJ grabbed a couple packs of Series 1 and we figured baseball magic was about to happen.

Unfortunately, the cards were about as hot as the bats that night. 😂

No parallels.
No autos.
No SPs.
No luck.

Still beats sitting at home. ⚾🔥

After baseball practice last night, JJ ripped a Bowman Mega and pulled this Chase Burns Mojo Refractor.

The crazy part? We almost put it in the regular stack because neither of us could see the serial number at first. 😅

The gold foil numbering blends right into the holo pattern and is nearly impossible to spot unless the light hits it perfectly.

A numbered Chase Burns rookie is a pretty nice way to end the night. 🔥⚾

After a tough tournament loss, a few teammates came over for a sleepover and jumped into our live rip session.

One thing we’ve noticed… kids who are newer to the hobby get excited about cards that veteran rippers sometimes overlook. 😂

JJ’s buddy Elijah pulled a Juan Soto Electric Sluggers and a Bowman Sterling Mojo Aaron Judge and was absolutely fired up.

No huge chase card. No monster auto.

Just kids having fun ripping cards with friends. That’s what it’s all about. ⚾️🔥

One thing about ripping cards… emotions change FAST. 😂

This Topps Finest Football hobby box had us thinking we were onto something with a couple of nice rookie pulls, an auto, a numbered Pat Tillman, and some flashy inserts.

For about 30 seconds we were convinced we had a HUGE box.

Then reality set in. 🤣

Still a fun rip, and honestly that’s what it’s all about.

Which card would you have been most excited to pull?

JJ was ripping a Bowman Mega when he hit this Seth Hernandez Mojo Refractor Auto 👀🔥

At first we just knew it was a nice pull…

A few hours later it was already SOLD on eBay for $160 😳💰

Not bad for a card that came out of a mega box.

The Bowman Mega magic has been real lately ⚾️

Would you have sold it immediately or held to see what happens with one of baseball’s top pitching prospects? 👇

Bowman Megas dropped yesterday and we finally hit our FIRST EVER Red Rookie Redemption 😳🔥

Nolan McLean is currently sitting near the top of the Rookie of the Year odds… which makes this one REALLY interesting 👀

For anyone who doesn’t know, the Bowman Red Rookie Redemption program works kind of like the Topps MVP Buyback program:

🏆 If the player wins Rookie of the Year = $100 FanCash
🔥 If you HOLD and the player later wins MVP or Cy Young = even bigger payouts
🐐 Hall of Fame milestones can make them worth even more down the road

The funniest part? The redemption card itself is hilariously off-center 😂 good thing THAT part doesn’t matter.

Definitely one of the coolest Bowman pulls we’ve had in awhile 🔥⚾

Found a couple 2023 Topps Update packs on clearance and decided to rip them after school 👀

Beau hit this Barry Zito “All Aces” insert and we started LOSING IT because we thought it was some crazy SSP/case hit type card 😂🔥

Then we looked it up…

$3 😭💀

Still though, the card is actually super clean and the design goes HARD. Honestly one of the cooler inserts we’ve seen in a while.

The emotional rollercoaster of ripping packs is undefeated 😂

Beau ripped a USA Stars & Stripes hobby box after school and FIRST PACK pulled a game-used patch numbered to 43 🔥

Only problem… it was a 15U player 😂

Honestly though, we’ve really enjoyed ripping Stars & Stripes. The autos and patches usually aren’t huge value right now, but the product is just FUN… and who knows, maybe one of these kids becomes a future MLB star one day 👀⚾

That’s part of what makes this set cool.
