2026 Topps Flagship Football dropped yesterday, so after the school Color Run JJ brought some buddies home for a group rip.

Hence the blue hands. 😂🔵

Unfortunately, the hobby boxes haven’t exactly been 🔥 so far…

We’ve been getting absolutely smoked lately, but JJ finally broke through with a Luisangel Acuña /10 out of a Topps Chrome blaster!

And who was literally the VERY NEXT CARD?

His big brother Ronald Acuña Jr. 😂

You can’t script that.

We found ONE random box of Select sitting on the shelf at Walmart… so obviously we had to grab it. 😂

Then JJ saw something weird hiding behind the next card… 👀🦓

OUR FIRST ZEBRA!!

Nothing better than grabbing a random retail box with zero expectations and actually hitting something nasty. 🔥

Release Day. One hobby box. One unbelievable hit.

JJ thought he had pulled the autograph… but what came next was even crazier.

Out came a Shohei Ohtani Orange Shadow Etch #12/25! 🔥

We listed it on eBay just to see what would happen… and within hours we had already received an $800 offer. 😳

Now we’re debating what to do.

The boys were ripping a couple 2026 Topps Series 2 Mega Boxes… until the ninja course in the basement became way more interesting. 😂

So I figured I’d help finish the packs.

A couple minutes later…

💥 HOME FIELD.

That’s two rips in a row where Dad has pulled the biggest card. I don’t think the boys are going to let me keep opening packs much longer. 🤣

We decided to make tonight’s hobby box a little more interesting.

The four of us (JJ, Beau, Elijah, and me) drafted all 8 packs before anyone started ripping. Since we went youngest to oldest, I ended up with the last pack pick.

Then I opened first…

Let’s just say the competition got pretty serious after this Jaxson Dart rookie auto showed up. 😂

The full Topps Signature Class Hobby box break drops tomorrow, and there were plenty more surprises waiting in the other seven packs.

One pack…
Two cards we’d be happy to pull any day.

And somehow, this was just another pack from a break that gave us 4 autos in 4 Mega Boxes. 🤯

Sometimes the reactions make the video. 😂

Beau spotted the orange parallel before the camera ever showed the serial number, and he was already celebrating. Then we flipped it over… Orange Cal Raleigh /25! 🍊

The pack still wasn’t finished either, with a Ketel Marte Team Finest and a Chase Burns Arrivals rookie rounding out a really fun rip.

Not every numbered card is a massive payday, but packs like this are exactly why we love opening cards together. You never know what’s coming next.

One of the coolest moments from our Topps Finest Mega Box break.

We flipped to a Grant Holmes autograph and couldn’t believe it—it was our FOURTH auto in FOUR Mega Boxes! 🤯

Then, before we could even celebrate, the very next card was a JJ Weatherholt Arrivals rookie.

Our immediate reaction was:

“The Weatherholt might actually be worth more than the auto.”

That’s one of the things that makes baseball cards so much fun. The autograph is always exciting, but sometimes the biggest chase is a young prospect everyone believes in.
