MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: CAROLYN STUART 🌟

We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to highlight our first member of the month, Carolyn! Her positivity radiates throughout the studio, and we are so lucky to have her here at Pvolve Louisville! Learn more about Carolyn below and in our monthly member newsletter.

Age: 68, turning 69 in August. I am proud that I have made it to this age and grateful that I am able to still have mobility. A lot of people have health issues that prevent them to be able to move freely. We are lucky. This exercise program is also magnificent for us aging individuals to keep our cognitive abilities at the top level.

Life outside the studio: I live in Fisherville, am retired, and have American Saddlebred horses. I no longer ride due to back and hip issues. I have recovered from issues that I had about 2 years ago and now work to ensure they remain strong and flexible.

What made you try Pvolve for the first time?: I saw commercials with Jennifer Aniston working out using Pvolve and was amazed how difficult but very flexible the movements were that she was performing. I then saw the equipment on Instagram and ordered pieces, and then the Pvolve pop up studio appeared on my phone. I wanted to take some classes to learn how to use the equipment properly.

What benefits have you seen since becoming a member?: I love the classes and how each one varies on different parts of your body. The instructors are phenomenal and motivate you to keep going through the entire class. My body is toning, getting stronger, and my balance is much better. I think the membership is very affordable with the amount of classes you can take and are available.

What is your favorite thing about Pvolve?: It is Yoga and Pilates combined with resistance bands that further build your strength. I love that you are moving through different steps holding the pose and without high impact.

Do you have a favorite piece of equipment?: No, I love them all because each piece of equipment challenges you in different ways.

MEET THE TEAM MONDAY:

Meet our fearless leader, Karsen!!

What made you try Pvolve for the first time? I actually did pvolve online during Covid when everyone was working out from home. Years later my best friend took me to a class at the SoHo studio and I was hooked. I couldn’t get pvolve out of my head after that.

Why/how did you make the jump from client to studio owner? I opened Pvolve because I believe our community deserves a smarter, more sustainable approach to fitness that builds strength, improves movement, and supports long-term health. I wanted to create a space where people can feel good in their bodies, move with purpose, and grow stronger for life.

Favorite piece of equipment: the slant board 😈. I love a standing core moment and balance and stability are key as we age.

What do you love most about Pvolve? I love that pvolve builds real strength, mobility, and confidence in a way that supports our bodies for everyday life. It’s challenging without being hard on your joints, and clients leave feeling energized, empowered, and stronger in all the ways that matter.

Life outside the studio: Outside of pvolve, you can catch me spending time with my husband, our two daughters, and our two dogs. I am also on the board of a local dog rescue GRRAND - puppies and Pvolve anyone??

We are so thankful to Karsen for opening the doors of Pvolve Louisville- we wouldn’t have this community of amazing, strong people without her. Make sure to say hi when you see her in studio! Thank you Karsen for all that you do for us 🤍

Favorite piece of pvolve equipment: I’m obsessed with the p3 trainer!! It’s such a unique way to connect to your body and train with some 360 movement

Favorite thing about pvolve: It’s truly always changing. Every day you get to step into the studio and experience something new and challenge yourself while still being in a super supportive environment

What are you most excited for?: I can’t wait to connect with a whole new community! I’ve taught fitness for over 13 years and I am ready to spice things up a little.
