I saw this thia morning and I really wish more runners understood. Training isn't about going as fast as you can every time. It's not about racking up the miles either. It's committing to a workout that's best for where you are right now. I like to use the imagery of blowing a bubble. If you go too hard too fast, the bubble pops. Go at a slower, steady pace and you can blow a much bigger bubble. Hard runs definitely have their place, just not every run. Embrace the 80/20 rule and you'll grow as a runner without the injuries, burnout and fatigue.
