I work out regularly with two friends. We keep each other accountable and on it as much as possible considering life. They allow me to experiment with different combinations of weight lifting, calesthenics, and cardio. Recently we've been jumping rope before our weights and/or calesthenics. The one today nearly did me in. The green rope weighs 1/4 lb and the white weighs 1/2 lb. It was awesome, though, and we'll do it again...once we've completely recovered.

Yesterday was Transformation Tuesday and I think the post missed, so pretend it's Tuesday. We all think of transforming in one way or another, whether it's mentally, physically, financially, etc. Transformation is tough. It begins with a mental attitude, a desire, but then you need tools. Take a step back today as you celebrate the end of a work week and congratulate yourself on all the things you got done this week. Think you didn't accomplish much? Come on. Think about it. Give yourself credit for what you did, rather than negatively list all that you *didn't* do. Anyone can do that! Start being kind to yourself and give yourself credit for the good things you do. Rather than being your own "critical parent", be your own cheerleader.
