We are the Bells: Carly and Josh, proud parents of our dynamic starting five - Walker, Beau, Blake, Crew, and Oaks.
Born and raised in Louisville, KY, Carly's journey in basketball began at St.
It was there that she left an indelible mark, securing three state championships and being honored as Ms. Carly's passion and prowess on the court propelled her to the University of Kentucky, where she became an integral part of the team's fabric. As a freshman, she earned a spot on the SEC First Team All-Freshman Team, started every game for four years, and played in two NCAA tournaments, cementing her legacy in Kentucky basketball history.
Josh's story begins in Lexington, KY, where his graduation from Tates Creek High School set the stage for a dual journey in athletics and academics. Initially playing collegiate basketball at Centre College, Josh's aspirations led him to transfer to the University of Kentucky to pursue a degree in civil engineering. It was here, amidst diagrams and designs, that he found a unique way to blend his love for basketball with his academic pursuits by joining the UK women's scout team. This serendipitous decision would write the first chapter of a lifelong partnership with Carly. Meet the Starting Five:

Our love of basketball has led us to start High Five Sports Academy in Louisville, KY—our commitment to sharing our love of the game with our community. We understand the value of putting in the work and the success you feel after achieving a desired result. The life skills you learn through the value of teamwork are unmatched and will take you far in life. We hope to create an environment where we put the FUN in fundamentals while building a foundation of life lessons for whatever opportunities come their way.
