The Planet Fitness Mayorthon Race Series consists of the Race the Runway 5.02K (8/8), Louisville Pure Tap 5K (8/29), Bourbon & Beyond 5K (9/26), & Thru the Ville 5K (10/24). Created by Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg, the 2nd Annual Planet Fitness Mayorthon is an exciting, new concept that encourages an active lifestyle within our community and supports runners and walkers with consistent race op

portunities throughout the year. In partnership with the Louisville Sports Commission, the Planet Fitness Mayorthon will consist of four total races including one new race. Race the Runway 5.02k will be a unique run or walk that takes place at Louisvilleʼs Historic Bowman Field on August 2nd. During the race participants will get a chance to run on the runway to complete the final event of the Mayorthon
series. The Louisville Pure Tap 5K will take place on August 23rd at the Louisville Water Tower. The Bourbon and Beyond 5K will take place on the Saturday morning of Louisvilleʼs Bourbon & Beyond Festival on September 13, 2025 at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center. During the race, runners will have the opportunity to run through the Fairgrounds, while enjoying special surprises along the way. Thru the Ville 5K on Saturday, November 1st will be a unique tour of University of Louisville's campus showcasing some of the most iconic landmarks on campus! All participants will receive a commemorative medal for all four races and upon participation and completion of all four Mayorthon races, each participant will receive a special Mayorʼs Official Mayorthon Challenge Coin.
