We’ve had a lot of people ask why we had to start last this past Saturday for the Firecracker 100 at The Salem Speedway. Here’s a little explanation…

End result, made it to 6th from the tail without any cautions! Ended up P7…

It’s almost that time…. Start making plans for the Firecracker 200 at The Salem Speedway!
Friday, July 3rd, the Crown Vic’s will be there putting on a show that you won’t wanna miss, as they will be bobbin and weavin for 100 laps!
Saturday, July 4th, the Great American Stock Cars will be looking to dance around the Legendary High Banks for 100 laps!
Come on out and check us out! Our driver may be making a special appearance Friday night in the Crown Vic to see if he can notch his name in the record books…

These pictures say everything you need to know about racing and it being a family sport..
When I was a kid, I looked up to my dad as a hero and nothing topped being at the track or in the garage together!
Then I went on to race. My dad would always tell me that nothing he ever accomplished on the track made him feel better than what I was doing…. I couldn’t understand how watching was better than driving!
Then along comes my son to watch me and hopefully feel somewhat the same about me!
Fast Forward over 30 years of this and now I get to watch my son and understand EXACTLY what my dad was saying all those years!
Racing creates memories that can’t be replaced.
We lost Dale Earnhardt, then Kyle Busch! Nascar will continue. It just won’t be the same….
Enjoy every minute of every day, because death is the only thing that is guaranteed!

Fast forward to the 4:00 mark and take a ride around The Salem Speedway with our driver for about 10 laps. This is a restart about 25 laps in….

We could not be more proud of our driver today!
Crew Chief made a mistake on tires for qualifying and hurt us a little bit, putting us 6th fastest. Invert was a 5, so we still started 6th.
Drove our way up the 3rd, the leader got involved in a wreck, putting us second. After the restart, we fell in line in 2nd place. When lapping a car, we got spun out and had to go to the tail. The guy that spun us, tapped on his roof, admitting fault. But unfortunately, we don’t have the tap rule here…. 😞
Our driver came from the tail, back up to 3rd and with 2 laps to go, the leader had a mechanical failure and we inherited a 2nd place finish! All in all, a really good day!
We would like to congratulate Trent Bayer on capturing his FIRST EVER feature win at The Salem Speedway!

Minus a tie rod sleeve that was tweaked that we didn’t catch, we gotta set the toe and she will be ready to rock n roll!
Hopefully, this is the last “experimental” cam/head combo we try and it works!
Outside of Gary Wilson Jr, Alex Ware and Patrick Rush helping get this thing apart and back together, we’d like to thank Randy Mac, Scotty Earl Holbert, Sam Murphy, Rusty Yoder with Erson Cams, Mike Poppelwell, Greg Stout and Eric Shircliffe for all their help and Will Kimmel for taking my phone calls to discuss the direction we are heading.

We will see you guys Sunday at The Salem Speedway for the Derby Hangover 75 lapper! 🏁
