Alexia of Knoxville, Tennessee is a renowned international performer, teacher, and advocate of Middle Eastern Dance. Alexia’s love of dance stems from a background in jazz and modern dance, which she began as a teenager. She took her first class in bellydance at UT and continued her education with many famous teachers such as Ibrahim (Bobby) Farrah, Yousry Sharif, and other noted dancers in the New York bellydance scene. She now teaches in her hometown of Knoxville, from beginner students to leading her dance troupe, the Alexandria Dancers. This a convenient location for anyone who lives in Knoxville, Maryville, Alcoa, Oak Ridge, Kodak, Sevierville, TN areas and want to take dance classes as a low impact workout. All ages and body types are welcome!
