Engineering a Bright Future
Quincy “Reese” Barnett’s path toward a career in engineering got an early boost through YMCA Black Achievers. As part of the program’s Engineering Cluster, Reese explored the field and discovered an interest that is now shaping his future.
Today, Reese is attending Morehead State University, studying mechanical engineering. He also received the $15,000 Louisville Water Thomas Family Scholarship, awarded during the YMCA Black Achievers Celebration.
Beginning September 7, your gift to the YMCA can help more young people like Reese explore their potential, discover new possibilities, and build a bright future.
