The in-betweens...

When we talk about adventure, it is easy to focus on the summits, the glory, the alpine starts and the gritty moments. But what makes kiddos feel closer, more connected, and more calm, is the moments of in-between that adventures offer. Water breaks, riddles on the trail, camp games, and little critters we find create moments that cultivate this feeling of "camp". One of the biggest changes parents see when kiddos come home is their neutrality towards technology. Moments of rest, boredom, play, connection with nature help kids regulate without technology and find joy in their natural environments.

🐸 Kiddos finding tadpoles on a Family Trip this summer in Steamboat. Our family trips are a revived program from our early Avid days. The whole family joins for a camping trip together facilitated and guided by our standout staff. During the day, the kiddos go our with the instructors to adventure and find wonder with the tadpoles while parents have the day to recreate and relax as they please. A little something for everyone, a great adventure for anyone!⛺️🥾🌲
