Midwest Select Volleyball Club Midwest Select provides athletes development in sports skills, community involvement, and leadership.

Midwest Select Sports is a sports club aspiring to provide athletes with opportunities to compete at various levels. Our coaching staff is experienced, knowledgeable, fun and passionate about sports. We provide area athletes development in sports skills, community involvement, and leadership at reasonable prices. Please note, our director, coaches and staff are volunteers. We are passionate about

our athletes - current and future - and do our best to be responsive. We also have full-time roles outside of the Club and ask your patience in responding, which we try to do within 48 hours.

The MWS 16U Black team closed out an incredible season this Tuesday in Chicago, IL — a season defined by grit, determination, and steady growth. This group showed what it truly means to compete with heart, battling through tough matches and rising to every challenge placed in front of them. Their resilience was evident all year, whether they were grinding through long tournament days, stepping into new positions when needed, or rallying together in high‑pressure moments.

Throughout the season, the team earned impressive wins, developed stronger on‑court chemistry, and continued to raise their level of play against top competition, all while showing meaningful personal improvement in their volleyball skills.

I want to extend a sincere thank‑you to our athletes for the effort, toughness, and pride they brought to the program every week. And to our parents — thank you for your support, flexibility, and dedication throughout the season.

A special thank‑you goes to Coach Lee and Coach Emily for their leadership, energy, and commitment to the team. Their coaching played a huge role in the growth and success of this group, and we are grateful for everything they poured into the season.

The 16U Black team represented MWS with class, competitiveness, and passion — and we couldn’t be more proud of what they accomplished.

Parents,
Due to the extreme heat (the Y has ventilation but not air conditioning), we are postponing the start of Summer League from today, June 10, to Friday, June 12. The times will remain the same, and we will add an additional session to make up for today.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. Please stay cool and safe and see everyone Friyay!

PS we still have a few spots left if league if anyone else would like to join please got to our website and sign up!

What a weekend for Midwest 12U black! Competing in the highly competitive 12 open division at the MJVBA state tournament, the team finished with an impressive, 4-2 record and earned a 3rd place finished.

This group continues to prove that hard work, energy, and teamwork can take you a long way. Their serving and passing were outstanding all weekend, helping them battle through tough competition. After a hard thought loss in Sunday semifinal match the team showed incredible resilience by bouncing back and defeating Michigan elite to secure the third place finish.

We couldn’t be more proud of the effort, determination, and growth this team has shown. The future is bright. Now it’s time to keep building the momentum as they prepare for the AAU national tournament.
