2022 Enhanced Concealed Carry Classes have now been scheduled and are open for registration! These will be the only classes offered in 2022, so sign up early! Cost remains the same, $85, payable on day of class.

Our last Concealed Carry Class of the Year will be conducted on Saturday 13 November at the Sheriff Department. Class will begin at 8AM sharp. Cost is $85. Must have own weapon, 40 rounds, eye and ear protection. We will break for lunch, but should be finished by 2PM. Contact Deputy Kohrs with any questions.

Hunters Education Classes are being scheduled. We have two currently available, one will be a closed course reserved for the students of Winston Academy and Grace Christian in August. For information on how to sign up, please see the school offices.

The other will be on Saturday, August 28th starting at 8AM at Louisville Masonic Lodge # 75. This will be open to any citizen of Winston County needing Hunters Education. To enroll, visit www.mdwfp.com to sign up. Class will be on a first come/first served basis, with 30 seats available.

The mission of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks is to conserve and enhance Mississippi’s wildlife, fisheries, and parks, provide quality outdoor recreation, and engage the public in natural resource conservation.

The Winston County Sheriff Department is proud to announce that our Fi****ms Academy will now also be able to provide much needed Hunter's Education Classes! The first classes will be made available to the local schools, and will be available to anyone age 10 - 18 that require it. Although Age 12 and up may complete the class entirely online (for a fee), this class will be provided free of charge. Keep checking back for class dates once scheduling is worked out!!

For those that may be wondering..Yes we will still have Enhanced Concealed Carry class this morning! In fact, we will accept any and all walk-ins who want to show up! If you would like to attend this morning, be at the Sheriffs Office at 7:45 AM with weapon and at least 20 rounds of ammo. Cost is $85. See you there!

October 10th we will be conducting another concealed Carry class at the Winston County Sheriff Office. Class starts at 8am sharp. Cost is $85, must bring weapon and 40 rounds, eye and ear protection.
