What happens before our dancers ever step into rehearsal?

A lot of planning, prayer, creativity, collaboration…and sometimes figuring out whether the choreography in our heads actually works in real life.

Our teachers spend hours choosing music, developing choreography, planning formations, studying the story, and thinking intentionally about how each piece can help communicate the message behind Miriam’s Song.

These are the moments most people never see, but they’re an important part of creating meaningful opportunities for our students to grow, worship, and tell God’s story through the arts.

We’re so thankful for teachers who pour so much into our students both inside and outside the classroom.

The One Who Lifts Our Heads

Fear and uncertainty can make us want to look down. Psalm 3 reminds us where to look instead.

David wrote these words during one of the hardest times in his life. Even while surrounded by trouble, he remembered that God was his shield, his protector, and the One who lifted his head.

Psalm 2 reminds us that Jesus is King and always in control. Psalm 3 reminds us that we can trust Him because He is always with us.

When fear, disappointment, or comparison cause us to hang our heads, God reminds us that our identity isn’t found in accomplishments or applause. We belong to Him.

Jesus is our King. He is our shield. We can trust Him.

Something special is taking shape.

Rehearsals are underway for Miriam’s Song, our 2027 Company Production!

Our Company students are doing more than learning choreography. They’re working together to tell a story of faith through movement, acting, and worship while growing as artists, teammates, and young women.

These moments are part of what makes Elevate more than dance and we can’t wait to share more of what they’re creating in the months ahead.

Psalm 1 reminds us that every day, we choose which voices will guide us. The world may tell us how we should look, what we should accomplish, or who we should be, but God invites us to plant our lives firmly in His truth.

Just like a tree grows stronger as its roots reach deep into the water, our faith grows as we spend time in God’s Word, pray, and trust Him. Strong roots don’t prevent storms, but they help a tree stand firm when they come.

The same is true for us. Our strength isn’t found in success or perfection, it’s found in staying connected to God.

Stay rooted in His Word, and trust Him to guide each step.

This season alone, Elevate is providing $35,000 in tuition assistance to help make Christ-centered arts education more accessible to families.

That investment is about more than classes. It’s about creating opportunities for students to be known, encouraged, prayed for, and reminded of how deeply they are loved by God.

On September 10, our first Give for Good Louisville will give our community an opportunity to help us continue making that possible.

This is Elevate.

It’s dance classes and rehearsals, but it’s also prayer circles, friendships, encouragement, laughter, hard work, and teachers who take the time to really know their students.

We want every child who walks through our doors to know they are deeply loved by God and deeply valued by our community.

That’s the heart behind everything we do and the heart behind our first Give for Good Louisville campaign.
