Louisburg Wrestling will have a float in the Labor Day float parade. Wrestlers of all ages and all coaches are welcome to join us on the float. If you plan to have your child ride with us, please meet at the city market staging area about 30 minutes prior to the start of the parade, and bring a bag of candy! Wear your wrestling shirts!

Girls high school wrestling continues to explode across the country. Participation reached a record 88,771 athletes during the 2025–26 season, a 19.9% increase in just one year, while 8,853 schools now sponsor the sport. Since 2021–22, participation has grown from 31,654 to 88,771, showing just how quickly girls wrestling has become one of the fastest-growing high school sports in America.

Hey all, just a quick update on camp so far, and the remaining schedule.

My apologies for being less organized than usual this week and being a bit behind on our "Rock the Aux" event. My dad has been in the hospital, so I've been spread very thin.

Camp so far has been going very well. Our numbers were once again outstanding with close to 80 wrestlers registered.

The beginner's camp has been alot of fun and the kids are doing fantastic. I couldn't be prouder of them. They have great energy, but have been listening well and picking things up perfectly.

I have been very pleased with the advanced camp, and more than happy with our guest clinicians. Colin and Braeden have exceeded my expectations. I know they are throwing a lot at the kids, but these are two elite wrestlers from our area and they are hungry to give back to us.

With that said, tonight, if I could get everyone to arrive about 10 minutes early to their session that would be fantastic. We will hand out camp shirts and take camp pictures of the groups.

As far as tomorrow goes, I'm a bit behind on getting it on paper. I will do a very informal weigh in as the kids come in and do my best to pair wrestlers up according to grade, weight, and experience. We will split the team and it will be a dual style format with the purple team facing the white team. We don't often get matches for our beginner campers unless they had competed last year. With that said, IF YOUR WRESTLER DOES NOT PLAN TO PARTICIPATE TOMORROW NIGHT AT OUR 2ND ANNUAL "ROCK THE AUX" PLEASE EMAIL OR TEXT ME ASAP!

I will have my wife make a graphic for the event ASAP, but it will take place in the AUX gym at 7:00PM tomorrow night at LHS. I will need some help with a bit of set up, mostly moving the mat and laying it down. I'll prly get to the high school at 5:00PM. I would ask all wrestlers to be there by 6:15. All friends and family are welcome to attend. There is no cost to attend.

Hello all,I hope you had a safe and happy 4th of July celebrating our country's 250th year of independence!

Our team summer camp kicks off this week.

Beginner sessions will run Monday through Thursday (7/6-7/9) from 4:30-5:30PM.These sessions will be instructed by myself, LHS coaches, and LHS wrestlers.

Advanced sessions will run Monday through Thursday (7/6-7/9) from 6:00-8:00 PM.These sessions will be instructed by Colin McAlister and Braeden Moore of UCM.

Just a reminder, all middle school ages and high school will attend the advanced sessions.

Please dress in t-shirt, shorts/sweats. No hoods, jeans, buttons, zippers, etc.

Wrestling shoes are preferable, however if your wrestler is a beginner and trying the sport, socks are totally fine. No bare feet on the mat.

We have bathrooms and water fountains accessible, however sending your wrestler with a water bottle is recommended.

Friday at 7:00PM we will have our 2nd annual "Rock the Aux". Previously known as "Grapple on the Gridiron", this event is where we pair our wrestlers up according to age and weight and have dual style matches. If you wrestler does not plan to participate in this event on Friday, please let me know in advance before I start pairing kids up. This event is open to the public, with all family members and the community to attend. It will take place in the Aux Gym at LHS.

If you have paid for your camper, thank you! If you have not, the fees are $60 for advanced and $40 for beginner.
Those camp fees can be paid via Venmo, cashApp, cash, or check.

PLEASE MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO EAST KANSAS EAGLES! Although I changed the name to Heartland Eagles, the legal name is still East Kansas Eagles and that is what the bank has on file.

I will have a table set up when your wrestler enters for camp where payment can be made. Please plan to arrive early if you still need to make payment so we can start camp on time.

If you can pay via Venmo or CashApp ahead of time, it will expedite the process.
