This weekend wasn’t easy. Running with some of the best drivers in the country while still learning a new class can feel pretty demoralizing, especially when the speed just isn’t there. I made a setup change at the shop that ended up being too big of a swing, and combined with tricky dry‑slick conditions, it put us behind before we even unloaded.

But even though we left the track frustrated, and defeated. I learned more this weekend than I have in a long time. I’m starting to understand what the car needs, what Luke needs, and how small decisions can make big differences. I’m committed to getting better and giving Luke a car he can race hard with.

Night #2 of the Summer Send Off at Sweet Springs! Night #1 was a rough one. Luke had his first really down night since moving up to micros. He struggled trying to find his racing lines all night and it really got in his head. Today is a new day and he is ready to make some driving adjustments and get faster. Hopefully dad can keep up with the car adjustments.

The POWRi National & West Midget Leagues join the NOW600 National Micros tonight at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex!

Last night we put it in the trailer in one piece. However the crew chief missed the setup most of the night. Luke finished 8th in the feature after spinning out on the opening lap and going to the tail. After the feature we rented the track for an hour and had a great schooling session. We both learned a huge amount. Thanks to Vance Weber, Quinton Benson and the other gentleman who I can't remember his name, my apologies! We really appreciate your input and feedback!
