As an inaugural team, Virginia Vitesse set out to build something different — and together, we did exactly that.

From day one, our focus has been on creating a high-level experience for our players, our community, and everyone who believed in what we were building.

With that in mind, we’ve made the decision to pause for the upcoming season as we continue positioning Virginia Vitesse for long-term growth and the right opportunities ahead.

This is not a step back — it’s a strategic step forward.

We’re proud of everything that was built in Year 1, and even more excited about what’s next.

🚨 BIG NEWS 🚨

Virginia Vitesse is officially a SEMIFINALIST in the 2026 Patriot Pitch Competition!

Out of 63 competitive applicants, we’ve been selected as 1 of 16 semifinalist teams to advance in this prestigious competition led by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Costello College of Business at George Mason University.

Our owner, will be representing Virginia Vitesse as she competes for the next round! 💼✨

As a semifinalist, she’ll participate in:
✅ Intensive entrepreneurship training with a business mentor
✅ A virtual pitch presentation to compete for a finalist spot

Finalists will be selected to pitch LIVE at George Mason University’s Fairfax Campus in April. 🏆

Wish us luck as we aim to keep elevating the game and make it all the way to the finals!

Compete to play for the team with the most well-attended game environments in the Women’s American Basketball Association!

Big crowds! Big energy!

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS — READ CAREFULLY

• You must register for at least 2 consecutive dates
(April 14 + 16, 16 + 17, or all 3 days - strongly recommended)
• Each date is $20
• You must register and pay for each date separately
• No walk-ups

If you do not register individually for at least two consecutive dates, your registration will be canceled.

🚨 TRYOUTS ARE COMING 🚨

Season 2 is loading in Loudoun County, VA!

3 tryout dates during the week of April 12, 2026 will be released shortly — and the official location and registration link will be announced soon. 👀

Players are required to attend at least 2 of the 3 tryout dates, and those two dates must be attended consecutively. Attendance at all 3 is strongly recommended.

Tryout fees are $40 for two dates or $60 for all three. Save the date and start planning now!

This is for the women still putting in the work, still believing, and still ready for opportunity.

Open to women 18+ who are not currently competing in NCAA basketball.

Tag a women’s basketball player who needs to be in the gym at tryouts with us. ⬇️
