NEW INFO IS IN FROM THE CITY OF MEDINA ABOUT MEDINA RC RACEWAY
Since our track is located in a Medina City public park we are subject to the rules that Medina City Hall and the Medina Health Department have established for safety of it residents. I have been working with the park director responsible for all the parks in Medina and we finally have new information on what is expected of us as we start to use the track. Please understand that if the regulations established by the city are not followed we could again lose use of the track for a period of time. We need to keep in mind that the track is located within sight of the city maintenance building and any Medina residents that drive through the park. All it would take is a couple of complaints coming into the city and the track could be closed again. Below you will find the latest information sent to us from the director of Medina City parks.
• Wednesday May 27th the track will reopen for recreation and practice use only.
• Track is closed to race competition until at least June 30th.
• To use the track we are required to follow the established steps for social distancing.
• The use of masks are not required but are encouraged by the city.
• Crowd sizes must be kept small.
• Distances between tents should be at least six feet.
• Drivers and spectators must resist visiting from tent to tent.
• Please resist using trailers at the track for it could make the track look busier than it actually is.
• Please resist spending the full day at the track testing and tuning your vehicles.
• Distant yourself to six feet apart on the driver’s stand (if others are waiting, please be considerate and limit your time on the driver’s stand).
• Please respect all track equipment (someone broke the door to the secured electric panel box the last day the track was open). That action helped to close the track for the last two months.
