Our Master men 60s had an epic experience competing with other teams from different international regions of the world. This event featured 8 days of prestigious outrigger canoe racing, spotlighting the best of the best in men, women, and youth from around the world who take part in this sport.
The world sprints feature traditional ceremonies, cultural performances, and demonstrations from each country represented.
Country flags waved in the air or were carried at the front of the pack as the Olympic-style march continued for more than half an hour. It was a great honor to take part in this cultural enriched sport while representing team USA.

Yesterday, our team competed in the Around the Rock Alcatraz race and paddled our way to an amazing 2nd place finish in both the Open Coed-short & long spec 🎉This was our last race of the season, and we are incredibly proud of our team. Thank you team for your hard work and determination. We like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to both our steersman Rita & Randy for guiding our boat ( Alakai) to a 2nd place victory. Looking forward to the next season! 🌺🙏🏽❤️

This past weekend our crew paddled our hearts out in Santa Cruz for the Sanctuary Challenge and clinched first place 🥇 in Open Coed-short spec.🎉 We’re so proud of our team’s dedication and hard work. Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer us on 🌺🫶🏽🤙

Kamalii O Ke Kai supported today’s Earth day festival in Los Gatos community Park. We partnered with the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop managed by one of our paddling ohana. We had volunteer students from Los Gatos high school to assist us as the children pretended to clean up a beach from litter and in return they were able to get a free tattoo sticker.
Preserving and restoring the quality of lakes, and marine environments requires that we understand how much trash we create, what we do with that trash, and we must all commit to taking care of our lakes,ocean and waterways on which we paddle.
