Adopt a Bike La

Adopt a Bike La We restore and sell used bikes in Los Angeles, CA. We primarily sell road bikes. We are available Some are donated or part-exchanged.

Established in 2012, Adopt a Bike ™ was born out of our frustration in finding a decent used bike. When searching for a used bike we found that all too often the bikes were either not properly tuned or just not what was advertised. As the name suggests we acquire our bikes from anywhere they are discarded. The majority of our bikes come from local recycling centers, police & general auctions, also

local yard sales. The bikes generally arrive in a poor state. We give them a little TLC, a clean up and replace any parts that are needed. We specialize in Road Bikes (most commonly 10-12 speeds) from 1970s-1990’s. Adopt a Bike ™ promotes a life-style utilizing bicycles for transportation and recreation. We aim to provide dependable reconditioned bicycles, new and used components, accessories and the highest quality service at affordable prices to ensure that bicycling is accessible to the full spectrum of those that wish to ride. Of the bikes we collect we re-use over 95%, putting them back in the community, cutting pollution and congestion. We operate on appointment only to be more efficient and to keep our prices low and to provide quality one on one service.

🚲 A pedestrian and bike bridge between Cypress Park and Elysian Valley has finally opened - after having been in the works for decades.
The ribbon was cut last week on the bright-orange Taylor Yard Bridge, which is now open for pedestrians and cyclists to cross
the Los Angeles River. Motor vehicles are not allowed.
The structure's bright orange color and style is meant to evoke
classic railway bridges, the mayor's office said. The bike and
pedestrian pathway is about 18 feet wide, but the whole structure spans 30 feet tall, 27 feet wide and about 400 feet long.
