When I received the accolade of the title “Top 30 Most Inspiring Women in Los Angeles”, I personally thought that title was just too big for the amount of insanity I have been through the last 3 years.
_
Honestly, I don’t feel like I deserve it.
_
I then remembered who I am inspired by and the people who motivate me to keep going. All my mentors, inspirations, and guides have had incredible stories that would make anyone crumble under pressure. It was people’s stories and Triumphs through struggles that allowed me to relate and understand that I am not the only person that goes through hard times. Mentors have paved the road to hard times for women like me to see that it is possible to make it.
_
It is possible to have these titles and accolades that we think are not meant for us. Growing up, as much as I was pushed by my mom, the conditioning of society made it impossible to believe in myself.
_
So, here we are today. But I am not by myself in this venture. I’m also in this business with my husband who has also been a huge part in my growth. Along with a solid team of people who have helped me become stronger and establish the dream my ancestors have set out for me to have.
_
So, don’t believe the noise you hear around you. If you want something, go for it.
_

Isn’t funny?
_
When people see a marriage, what they think they see is perfect love.
_
What they don’t see is the arguments, compromises, and sacrifices made from both parties.
_
They don’t see the negotiations and pleas from each other to understand their points of view and ideas.
_
They don’t see the hardships and struggles to figure out why either of them are happy and whole when one party doesn’t feel that they are enough.
_
They don’t see the loss and management of emotions through that loss.
_
For us, this is our love. It’s never been perfect but I wouldn’t want to perfectly struggle with ANYONE else.
_
Happy 7 years of marriage to the man who I am blessed to have by my side through all the ups and the downs. Wars are faught with the best soldiers, and won with the biggest hearts.

Ugh, I’m so tired of hearing coaches/trainers say this with out context.
_
But seriously though, when was the last time you felt relief from your workouts? Take a solid look in the mirror and ask yourself, “am I only working mirror muscles or am I conscious about all planes of motion that my body is capable of?“
_
The assumption of stretching is that there is only one way to stretch, and it’s static.
_
The different modalities are really more then what you think; foam rolling, neuromuscular flexibility, FRC, CARS, SMR and so much more. The purpose of all the modalities is different. Some are active, Some are passive, some of it is tissue response, either way there’s usually a goal of just developing a more functional movement pattern within your anatomy.
_
Don’t be afraid to try it. As a matter fact don’t be afraid to ask about it. As someone who’s really taken the time to patiently understand the context of stretching, I’m more than happy to help out and answer any questions anybody has.

I’m really stoked to share these progress photos with you from my stretch class. I’m sure they won’t get as many likes as my modeling photos, but the point is to showcase that I do more then run a business and have photos snapped of me.
_
I’ve been running a stretch class now that focuses on a combination of different flexibility methods and mobility movements that help increase range of motion and strengthen end range movements. I don’t often share my credentials, but I was recently certified in Neuromuscular Flexibility earlier last year. I’m on task to increase my knowledge in the world of range of motion training, and other modalities of joint control.
_
The most fascinating thing that I learned is that muscle tissue is completely adaptive. It’s adaptive to it’s environment and it’s adaptive to what is exposed to. Just like anything else if you don’t do anything with it, it won’t move effectively. This, hurting the way you move either in life or in your lifts.
_
Don’t sleep on my class. I promise you it’s going to suck in the beginning. But the end results are fascinating and amazing.

☀️Recent Shoot☀️
_
If you look closely, my nose isn’t photo shopped. As a Hawaiian Tropic model, I always encouraged my photographers I shot with and videographers to catch me at a certain angle that would hide the curvature of my nose.
_
I would disguise myself the best I could to hide my indigenously confused body and face, never having a direct correlation to where I am from or who I am when I shot in front of the camera. So, I fraudulently would submit photos of my face to casting directors to hopefully get a part I wasn’t positioned for.
_
Sucks that I spent my best years hoping to be someone else, only to get older plainly accepting who I am and where I am from.
_
Thank you for capturing the side I hid from all my years. This shoot reminded me how truly beautiful I am when I am my most authentic.
_

Stretch Class was fun this morning.
_
I love teaching people how to move. I live teaching people how to move effectively.
_
When people struggle to move it can only be fixed through movement. I could be wrong, but a sedentary lifestyle is slowly (and some rapidly) tearing people’s health apart.
_
I offered a small challenge to today’s class, and I’ll offer you the same…
_
Have you taken 3 mins of deep breathing 😮‍💨?
_
In the middle of your day, stop what you are doing and just breathe for 3 mins and focus on nothing else. Refocus and reduce your stress level.
_
How will this make you move better? You will be more present and make better decisions instead of rapidly going through you day tense and unfocused.
_
Drink your water please.
_

Reflection back on the Labor Day Event. Had a blast interviewing and Steve Davis for being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

It was a perfect day to see and connect with all the winners. It makes me miss competing and the sport.

I also loved that I was able to give her first first place trophy. As her mobility coach for the last two years it was sooooo worth the wait.

This time was much needed for me to get away from the hustle and bustle of running a brick and mortar business.
_
Often, I have little or no time to thinking to myself, I hardly have creative space, and sometimes I’m really not inspired. Sheltering and isolating during the pandemic seriously contributed to that and I could feel my personal mental health declining.
_
This weekend was not only informative and inspirational, it was also educational and I really felt like there was a good place to stretch out my creative wings.
_

•19 years of friendship•
_
When I find my people, I literally am loyal to death.
_
I will totally let you know, I have not always been the friend that people deserve. However, the people who believed in me have always made me feel as if I was deserving of them.
_
Ups and downs, James has been my ear for hours through the past 19 years. He has been there through my lowest moments of wasted time to my highest moments of success.
_
I remember when James and I had a conversation about Fitposium and it was just a birthed idea. I’m pretty sure I was at the time of my life where I probably doubted the idea because I was an as***le, but I told him I’d show up. Sure enough it was small, but packed full of information.
_
I won’t miss another year. No matter how much I learn. Like he believed in me, I will always believe in him. That’s what friends do…
_
