Celebrating 13 years of Alyssa Mann on her birthday 🥳

Alyssa Mann walked through the Yoga Vibe doors in 2013 and basically never left. Good call on our part.

Student. Teacher. Trainer. Breathwork guide. Candle maker. 🕯️ And for 13 years, an essential part of this little Los Feliz yoga family.

She even showed up and taught on her birthday today. Because of course she did.

There’s Sunday Bianca. And now there’s Wednesday Bianca. ✨

Sunday Bianca wants you to slow down, settle in and maybe not move very much at all during her 6p Restorative 🤤

Wednesday Bianca has other plans. 😏 Starting this week, Bianca Heer takes over Wednesdays at 10am for Mixed Level Flow in Los Feliz 🧘

And since we’re talking about watching teachers grow… Bianca Heer is a graduate of our Yoga Vibe / Black Dog Yoga Teacher Training. Which gives us a pretty good excuse to mention:

A music legend didn’t just pass away yesterday. The world lost an icon. A champion for many, and an inspiration to generations ⭐️

So much of who Dolly Parton was can be found in her own words:

“You don’t even have to believe in anything to be good to people. You should just know you should be a good human being.”

Simple. True. And very Dolly.

And as the world mourns, LA has shown up for her too. From the Hollywood Bowl and the Fonda marquee to Pink’s, flowers covering her star on the Walk of Fame, and memories of the day she received it.

So let’s take a cue from Dolly today and moving forward: a little more love, a little more kindness, and a little more human 🤍

Why do you do yoga? There are a lot of reasons to get on the mat. We’re not here to rank them.

Maybe to get stronger. Or more flexible. To clear your head and quiet the noise. To breathe. Move. Go inward.

Maybe it’s fitness. Maybe it’s a refuge from the chaos outside. Maybe it’s an hour to yourself. Maybe you just really like yoga. Or the teacher. Maybe your friends are here.

Maybe this little house on Hillhurst has simply become one of your places.

There are plenty of opinions from the yoga police about what yoga should and shouldn’t be. We’re not really into that.

Whatever gets you on the mat is a pretty good reason to be there.

Your practice. Your reasons. Your neighborhood yoga studio in Los Feliz.
