🏒 CBHC TUESDAY NIGHT LEAGUE — WEEK 8 PREVIEW
📅 TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2026

Six wins for the Bullies. Five of them in overtime. The champs get another look tonight.

7:30 PM — The Slapshots vs Banana Bullies

First against third, and there's history.

The Bullies ended the Slapshots' perfect start in Week 4, 2-1 in overtime, Dacuycuy with the winner. He's added two more since — three overtime winners on the season, and the Bullies still have exactly one regulation victory to their name.

The Slapshots have lost two of three. Last week the Trains took it off them with 31 seconds left, Jeff Diaz setting up both goals in defeat.

A Slapshots win puts them a point off top. A Bullies win starts to look like a gap.

8:30 PM — Graveyard Shift vs Strange Brew

Graveyard have two wins this season and Gene Hoffman scored the winner in both — 41 seconds left against this team in Week 4, then last week against the Riot.

That one looked different, though. Eleven players after dressing four a fortnight earlier, Will Rodas scoring on debut, Mitchell Prencavage adding another, Adam Von Arx setting up both. The roster finally matches the effort.

The Brew have three overtime losses, two of them to the Bullies, and a fourth-place spot that undersells them. Jesse Milne has been solid and defensively, they're joint top for lowest goals allowed. They'll need to lean on this while producing more offense.

9:30 PM — The Bison Trains vs The Riot

The Riot's best night of the season came against this team — six goals in Week 4, Nate Schultz with two and two more assists.

Since then the Trains have won three straight and taken second outright. Oliver Shepard scored twice against the Slapshots including the winner, and Alex Gelt had a hand in all three the week before.

The Riot scored twice in the final two minutes last week to make a 4-1 game respectable. They can still score on anybody. Stopping people is the problem.

🏒 CBHC SUNDAY LEAGUE — WEEK 7 RECAP

🥇 PREMIER

Ball Hogs 3, Chiefs 0
First place up for grabs but the Chiefs turned up with six runners. Hogs' Jakob Nelson opened it, Erik Zak scored twice in the third, while Milne stopped all 13.

Pharaohs 5, OC Squatch 1
The Pharaohs had it 2-0 before Rayson Normandin pulled one back for Squatch. The third belonged to Billy Metcalf Jr — two goals in 34 seconds, then an assist on Wilson Jr's second. Squatch are still hunting a point but a deeper bench helped.

Drieser Street Devils 2, Misfits 1 (OT)
Two weeks, two winners at the death. Joe Sprofera put the Misfits ahead late in the second, Will Rodas answered early in the third, Scott Shinn ended it 29 seconds into OT. Shannon stopped 21 and still lost.

Flavorinos 5, Fighting Irish 2
The response. Hokanson scored twice and set up a third, Nate Schultz had three points, and it was 5-0 before Noah Gilbert and Anne Girtz scored inside the last two minutes for the Irish — Girtz with four seconds left.

Dire Wolves 5, Diamondbacks 3
Plenty of pace. The Wolves struck first, the D'Backs answered twice, 2-1 after one. Then three unanswered. A late one brought them within a goal before Mark Wilson Jr put it away with seconds left — his third of the game. Ahedo and Metcalf Jr had three points each.

The Timbers 5, Nasty Boys 2
Back from the bye and straight to work. Nasty Boys battled all game but two quickfire situations from Justin Linares and Janine Ulloa 19 seconds apart in the first, and Sheets and Linares 13 seconds apart in the second, made it a tough climb back.

Wu Killa Bees 4, Mighty Pigs 3 (OT)
Down 2-0 after one. The Bees' John Mayo and Bobby Pfluger levelled it in the second, and took the lead halfway through the third. But the Pigs' Chet Johnson forced OT. A big powerplay chance in OT - Plfuger won it eight seconds later.

🏒 CBHC SUNDAY LEAGUE — WEEK 7 PREVIEW

Premier's top two open the day against each other. Silver has three points between first and last. Bring coffee.

🥇 PREMIER DIVISION

9:00 AM — Ball Hogs vs The Chiefs
Both 5-1, both on ten points, and only goal difference between them — a gap that exists almost entirely because of one afternoon, the Hogs' 7-0 in Week 4. Turcotte scored four last week. Portillo has a shutout and a one-goal win in his last two. Winner takes Premier outright.

10:00 AM — The Pharaohs vs OC Squatch
The Pharaohs came from 4-1 down to pull within one against the Chiefs but couldn't find the equalizer last Sunday. On the other end, Squatch are 0-6 and that elusive first point is still out there.

⚪ SILVER DIVISION

11:00 AM — Drieser Street vs Misfits
Two teams that live at the buzzer. Drieser beat the Irish on a goal with ONE SECOND left. The Misfits scored twice with the net empty in twelve seconds to force overtime but couldn't find the W. Johnny Blaze + Tyler Hill vs Colin Lou + Scott Shinn. They'll be a good one.

12:15 PM — Flavorinos vs Fighting Irish
The Flavs just got shut out 5-0 while dressing six players, but still hold the top spot. The Irish won their first two games of the season and haven't won since but we can't say they haven't been close. Get-back spot for both sides.

1:15 PM — Dire Wolves vs Diamondbacks
Both surging. The Wolves put five past the leaders and didn't concede, Ahedo currently leads the league in points. The D'Backs grabbed a huge win in OT last week behind a stellar Andy Roy performance - but they'll need a complete team effort against the Wolves.

🏆 BRONZE DIVISION

2:15 PM — The Timbers vs The Nasty Boys
The Nasty Boys finally know what winning feels like: 2-1 in overtime over the Mighty Pigs, and they'll look to build on this. The Timbers are back from a bye and will want to steady the ship after a narrow loss to ZFG.

3:15 PM — Wu Killa Bees vs The Mighty Pigs
The Bees put six on the board two weeks ago and got shut out last week. The Pigs dropped their first game in overtime and still own the division's second-best goal difference. Both want a response.

CBHC TUESDAY NIGHT LEAGUE — WEEK 7 RECAP

A shorthanded opener, an overtime winner, and a goal with 31 seconds left. Nobody relaxed tonight.

7:30 PM — Graveyard Shift 4, The Riot 3

Two weeks ago Graveyard dressed five runners. Tonight they dressed eleven, and it showed.

Matthew Ulloa opened it shorthanded, Sadie Hellstrom answered for the Riot, and then Graveyard went to work — Will Rodas and Mitchell Prencavage added one a piece in the second, both set up by Adam Von Arx. Gene Hoffman made it 4-1 six seconds into the third.

The Riot came for it late, Amir Arani and Ivan Daehn scoring inside the final two minutes, but Joshua Graves held. Second win of the season, and the backend finally looks like a backend.

8:30 PM — Banana Bullies 2, Strange Brew 1 (OT)

Again. Again in overtime. Again against the Brew.

Special guest from Finland, Visa Kinnunen, scored three minutes in for the Brew and it held until Nolan Thompson Jr. tied it on the power play with 48 seconds left in the second. Twenty-two shots each, one goal each, and nothing in the third.

Then Aaron Dacuycuy did what he does — 1:48 into overtime, from Ahedo. His third overtime winner of the season, and the Brew's third overtime loss.

9:30 PM — The Bison Trains 3, The Slapshots 2

Second place, settled at the buzzer.

Oliver Shepard scored 45 seconds in. Kimberly Wu answered 13 seconds into the second, Chris Klein put the Trains back ahead off a Shepard feed, and Slapshots captain Steve Natale tied it again early in the third with Jeff Diaz setting up both Slapshots goals.

With overtime looming, Shepard buried his second with 31 seconds on the clock. Frentic pace to finish the game; the Slaps had a few looks but key blocks stifled any chance they had.

7:30 PM — Graveyard Shift vs The Riot

Two points apart at the bottom, and both need this more than they'll admit.

The Riot took the first meeting 3-2 and have won once since. They dressed seven runners against the Slapshots and got run — most goals scored in the league, most conceded, and a habit of arriving short.

Graveyard have three points and no business being that low. Rick Torres had a point on all three of their goals last week, tied it with 1:13 left, and watched Dacuycuy win it 36 seconds later. Joshua Graves gives them a big chance tonight.

Awesome tilt ahead.

8:30 PM — Banana Bullies vs Strange Brew

The Bullies are first, unbeaten in last 4, and finally know what a regulation win feels like. Heckmuller had a point on all four goals last week; Dacuycuy scored the winner.

The Brew know this fixture. They took the Bullies to overtime in Week 3 and lost 1-0, shut out by Jake Patora. Since then they've beaten the defending champs and dropped a 3-2 to the Trains, Allen Ghazarian scoring shorthanded in the final minute.

Milne against Patora. Their first meeting produced one goal in 33 minutes.

9:30 PM — The Slapshots vs The Bison Trains

Second place, one point, head to head.

The Slapshots won the first meeting by 14 seconds, then answered back-to-back losses by putting five on the Riot. Kyle Hassay had three points, Brien Zimmermann returned and scored, and Natale and Hassay struck 14 seconds apart.

The Trains have won two in a row. Alex Gelt had a point on all three goals against the Brew, and Michael Murangi's go-ahead came with four minutes to play.

A Trains win takes second outright. A win for the Slaps could see them propel to first.

A winner with one second left. A tie forced in twelve seconds. A first win in franchise history. Sunday went wild.

Ball Hogs 7, OC Squatch 0
Tanner Turcotte scored four. Kerry Hew and Paul Budlong set up three each, Jesse Milne needed eight saves. Dymek made 28 and deserved better in front of him.

Chiefs 4, The Pharaohs 3
First place on the line and the Chiefs grabbed it early — Tyler Hill on the power play 58 seconds in, Adam Thurn late in the first, Shinn and Thuesen in the second. The Pharaohs charged back through Heckmuller, Wilson Jr and Zeke Schultz, but Portillo shut the door the rest of the way. Chiefs and Hogs, dead level at the top.

Diamondbacks 6, Misfits 5 (OT)
Game of the season so far. Andy Roy and Tyler Hill traded doubles, Johnny Blaze put the Misfits up, Roy answered on the power play, and the D'Backs led 5-3 with 24 seconds left. Blaze scored with the net empty. Then he did it again — hat trick complete, tied in twelve seconds. In OT, Roy buried his fourth to end it. Five points for Roy.

Drieser Street Devils 2, Fighting Irish 1
Will Rodas scored late in the second, Noah Gilbert tied it in the third, and this was headed to overtime until Colin Lou scored with ONE SECOND on the clock. Three straight wins for the champs.

Dire Wolves 5, Flavorinos 0
The division leaders dressed six runners and ran into a buzzsaw. Ahedo and Chet Johnson scored two apiece, and the Wolves' backup stopped all 14. Milne made 22 behind a team that never got started.

🥇 PREMIER DIVISION

9:00 AM — OC Squatch vs Ball Hogs
The Hogs have scored twelve in two weeks and won the second one with seven skaters, Justin Dixon burying the overtime power play. Squatch have Ed Dymek and need more offense — 27 saves last week for Dymek but a 4-0 loss to show for it.

10:00 AM — The Chiefs vs The Pharaohs
The pick of the morning. The Chiefs answered a seven-goal beating with a shutout — Thuesen's hat trick and Portillo needing only 13 saves. The Pharaohs twice pulled level against the Hogs and lost in final moments. Last time out, this was a thriller - we expect the same this Sunday.

⚪ SILVER DIVISION

11:00 AM — Misfits vs Diamondbacks
The D'Backs came to play against the Flavs but suffered a 4-1 loss. Meanwhile, The Misfits took a point off the Irish behind 19 saves from Jordan Shannon. First team to make its chances count walks away with this.

12:15 PM — Drieser Street vs Fighting Irish
The champions found their offense — three goals in six minutes to bury the Dire Wolves, Scott Shinn with a goal and two assists. The Irish were the tightest team in the division early and got back to it last week, holding the Misfits to one behind 18 saves from Dymek.

1:15 PM — Flavorinos vs Dire Wolves
Two teams in form. The Flavs have won two straight and seem to be clicking, Nowakowski and Hokanson combining on three. The Wolves put five past the Irish, and last week, they battled with Drieser up until the last minute in a 4-3 loss. Plenty to watch in this one.

🏆 BRONZE DIVISION

2:15 PM — Zero F's Given vs Wu Killa Bees
Exciting game on the board again. ZFG is undefeated and Jordan Shannon has posted back-to-back shutouts. The Bees just scored six, proving they came make things happen. This can go either way: shoot-out or a display of defense.

3:15 PM — Mighty Pigs vs The Nasty Boys
The Pigs are back from the bye and back from their first loss, shut out 2-0. The Nasty Boys added Paul Heckmuller and John Ahedo and still lost by four. A win for the Nasty Boys would be massive halfway through the season.

🏒 CBHC SUNDAY LEAGUE — STANDINGS
📅 Through Week 5

🥇 PREMIER
The Ball Hogs and the Chiefs are both 4-1 on eight points, and the only thing between them is goal difference — a gap of fourteen. The Hogs have scored twelve in two weeks and won three straight. The Chiefs answered a seven-goal beating with a shutout.

The Pharaohs sit three back with a point salvaged from overtime. OC Squatch are still looking for their first: five games, five losses, and a minus-sixteen that is the exact inverse of the team above them.

🥈 SILVER
The Flavorinos are three clear and everyone else is piled on top of each other.

One point separates second from sixth. The Dire Wolves and Drieser Street are on five. So are the Fighting Irish and the Misfits, who took a point off each other last Sunday. The Diamondbacks are 2-3 and a single point out of second.

Nobody in this division has separated from anybody. That's five teams who can move three spots with one result.

🥉 BRONZE
Zero F's Given have not lost. Four games, four wins, and two straight shutouts.

The Mighty Pigs are the only team in the division with a better goal difference — plus nine to ZFG's plus eight — and they're two points back. The Timbers are 2-2. The Bees just put six on the board and are still looking up at everyone. The Nasty Boys are hunting their first point.

🏒 CBHC TUESDAY NIGHT LEAGUE — WEEK 6 RECAP

The second half opened with two finishes inside the last minute and one that never got that close.

7:30 PM — Banana Bullies 4, Graveyard Shift 3

Graveyard came to fight, and Sergei Sedykh picked a good night to debut on their blue line.

Janine Ulloa opened it in the first for Graveyard but Kyle Danese and Paul Heckmuller flipped it in favor of the Bullies before Will Rodas tied it again with 25 seconds left in the period. Andrew Shaw put the Bullies back ahead, Rick Torres levelled it with 1:13 to play, and 36 seconds later Aaron Dacuycuy ended it.

Heckmuller had a point on all four Bullies goals. Torres had one on all three of Graveyard's. Five wins for the Bullies now, and only one of them inside 30 minutes.

8:30 PM — The Slapshots 5, The Riot 2

The champs responded.

Scoreless after one - Brien Zimmermann returned to the lineup and opened the scoring himself. Steve Natale and Kyle Hassay struck 14 seconds apart to break it open, both set up by Josue Martinez.

The Riot dressed seven and never found a rhythm. Levi Schultz pulled one back early in the third, but this was answered less than a minute later by Stephan Lehmeier, Troy Spiropoulos made it five. Nate Schultz's late goal was consolation.

9:30 PM — The Bison Trains 3, Strange Brew 2

Twenty-one shots each.

Oliver Shepard opened it off a slow change, Jack Rogers picking up the second assist from his own crease. The Brew settled after that, and Earl Skakel banged one home in front late in the second to extend his point streak.

Michael Murangi grabbed the lead back with four minutes left and Alex Gelt doubled it. Wayne Wright's interference penalty looked like the end of it, but Allen Ghazarian scored shorthanded with 57 seconds to play. Goalie pulled, the last minute turned into a scramble in front, and the Trains held.

Gelt had a hand in all three Trains goals. Rogers finished with 19 saves and an assist.

🏒 CBHC TUESDAY NIGHT LEAGUE — WEEK 6 PREVIEW

Everyone has played everyone. The second lap starts with five points covering all six teams.

7:30 PM — Graveyard Shift vs Banana Bullies

Rematch of opening night, when Nolan Thompson Jr. won it in overtime.

The Bullies haven't lost since Week 2 and haven't won a game in regulation all season. Four wins, four overtimes — Thompson Jr., Dacuycuy twice, and John Ahedo's hat trick plus the winner last week. Jake Patora has been the constant.

Graveyard sit last on three points and dressed four players last Tuesday, which tells you nothing about how close they've been — three of their first four were decided by a goal. Joshua Graves keeps them in everything.

They took the Bullies to overtime once. Doing it twice would say plenty.

8:30 PM — The Riot vs The Slapshots

The Riot score more than anyone in the league and concede more than anyone. They also tied a game with five seconds left last week and lost it 31 seconds into overtime. Nate Schultz has been the engine all month.

The Slapshots have lost two straight for the first time this season. They trailed the Brew 4-0 through two before Jeff Diaz dragged them back within one, and they still have three one-goal wins on the year. Herman Dhillon has a shutout and a 23-save night behind him.

One team wants a track meet. The other wants a knife fight. Whoever gets their game wins.

9:30 PM — Strange Brew vs The Bison Trains

Level on six points, separated by wins.

The Brew have the best goal difference in the league and have conceded fewer than anybody — and they're fourth. Two overtime losses will do that. Last week they finally converted: five past the defending champs, Wayne Wright with a hat trick, Jesse Milne holding the door.

The Trains stopped a two-game slide against a shorthanded Graveyard side. Oliver Shepard set up two, Adrian Rosescu scored and assisted, Jack Rogers stopped 17 of 18.

2 points up for grabs and the edge on the tiebreaker.
