CBHC Tuesday Night League - Semi-Final Preview
Tuesday, June 2, 2026

The Final Four. Two games tonight separate the field from a Championship appearance on June 9. We know what's at stake - and so do they.

8:00 PM β€” #3 Banana Hammocks vs #2 American Bullies
The Bullies enter on a five-game winning streak - arguably the hottest team in the division right now. Paul Heckmuller has elevated his game at exactly the right moment, Jesse Milne delivered a shutout in the quarters, and this group is feeling confident, and playing with real edge. Chet Johnson sets the tone and they have answers all over the lineup.

But the Hammocks own the most recent head-to-head β€” and they know how to win tight games. Chase Souto buried the GWG with 47 seconds left in their last meeting. Nolan Thompson Jr. erupted for 4 goals in the quarterfinals, and Jacob Patora is capable of stealing a game outright on any given night.

The Bullies have momentum. The Hammocks have composure. Both teams meeting on many occasions in the playoffs past. Something has to give.

9:00 PM β€” #1 Bison Trains vs #4 Slapshots
The main event.

Oliver Shepard vs Erik Zak. It's always fireworks. When these teams last met in the regular season, the Trains won 5-3 β€” but Zak had a hat trick and nearly pulled off the heist with the Slapshots trailing late in the third. The margin was wafer-thin. Expect the same tonight.

The Trains have depth, structure, and championship pedigree. Steve Natale captains a Slapshots side with the firepower to stay with anyone β€” the return of Kyle Hassay have given them a huge boost. But Shepard's clutch gene make the Trains a tough out at every moment.

The player who shows up biggest in the third period wins this game.

CBHC Sunday League - Playoff Recap (Winter '26)

πŸ₯‡ PREMIER DIVISION πŸ₯‡

Pharaohs 2, Ball Hogs 1
A tight one wire to wire. Lucas Young broke the deadlock in the second, Jakob Nelson answered 82 seconds later. Kyle Snyder broke the stalemate in the third off a Zak-to-Choura sequence to send the Pharaohs through.
⭐ Kyle Snyder β€” GWG

Chiefs 3, OC Squatch 1
This was a battle. Ed Dymek was on another level β€” stopping 38 of 41 shots while the Chiefs outshot them 41-15. Shinn struck late in the first, but Squatch saved their best for the playoffs, levelling it through Normandin in the second. The Chiefs' quality told in the third. Shinn struck again, Thurn added the dagger.
⭐ Scott Shinn β€” 2G

βšͺ SILVER DIVISION βšͺ

Fighting Irish 1, Diamondbacks 0
Winner plays on and the Irish delivered. The D'backs had their moments, especially a hot start in the first. But a power play set the table for Nicole Balchunas β€” she cashed in to give the Irish a lead they'd never surrender. They advance to face the defending champs.
⭐ Nicole Balchunas β€” PP GWG

Flavorinos 2, Misfits 1 (OT)
Death, taxes, and Misfits vs Flavorinos going to overtime. A postseason record 13 penalties β€” the rivalry lived up to every bit of the hype. Trevor Smith gave the Flavs a lead but Mayo answered for the Misfits. In OT, a Misfits slash handed the Flavorinos a power play β€” Smith buried the winner. Flavs are in the Championship Game.
⭐ Trevor Smith β€” 2G, OT GWG

Drieser Street 5, Fighting Irish 1
The defending champs showed their depth. Joel White continued his point streak with the opener, but Ed Dymek levelled it for the Irish. From there, the Devils kicked into another gear β€” pulling away emphatically. Drieser defend their title against the Flavorinos.
⭐ Joel White β€” 2G

Zero F's Given 2, The Timbers 0
Championship hockey in every sense. After a scoreless first, the game stayed tight deep into the second. With 3:30 left, Ahumada buried the opening goal in a game where goals were always at a premium. From there, it became a test of nerves. The Timbers pushed. ZFG bent, but never broke.

πŸ† ZERO F’S GIVEN ARE BRONZE DIVISION CHAMPIONS πŸ†

Zero F’s Given are back on top.

With a 2-0 shutout win over the defending champion Timbers, ZFG captured their second Bronze Division title in franchise history and completed a championship run built on structure, belief, and ex*****on when it mattered most.

The Timbers came in as the top seed, the reigning champions, and the team that had set the standard all season long. They were organized, experienced, and dangerous but Zero F’s Given delivered the kind of complete performance that wins titles.

Luis Ahumada delivered the breakthrough, Freeman Butland put the final stamp on it, and Cody Sutton was outstanding in goal, turning aside every Timbers chance to earn the shutout and MVP honors.

A massive congratulations to Zero F’s Given - your Winter 2026 Bronze Division Champions!

πŸ’ CBHC Sunday League - Playoff Sunday
πŸ“… May 31, 2026 | Chapman Sports Park

Six games. Three divisions. One massive day of playoff ball hockey. Here's everything on the line today.

πŸ₯‡ PREMIER DIVISION SEMI-FINALS
9:00 AM - Ball Hogs vs Pharaohs
The division's most prolific offense against its most dangerous player. Ball Hogs enter riding a win streak. Erik Zak and the Pharaohs enter with unfinished business. Something has to give.

10:00 AM - The Chiefs vs OC Squatch
The #1 seed, a +15 goal differential, and the division's most dominant goalie. Scott Shinn and Aaron Portillo anchor a Chiefs side that has not lost to Squatch all season.

βšͺ SILVER DIVISION PLAYOFFS
11:00 AM - Fighting Irish vs Diamondbacks (Play-In)
Survive to advance. Joshua Graves is locked in for the D'Backs, but the Irish arrive with more life than their record shows. Winner earns the right to face the defending champions.

12:00 PM - Misfits vs Flavorinos
The rivalry game. These two have built a reputation for tight finishes and overtime chaos. Don't expect anything different.

1:00 PM - Play-In Winner vs Drieser Street
The reward for surviving the play-in? A rested defending champion with the division's top scorer and best goalie waiting. Drieser doesn't give anything away easy.

πŸ† BRONZE DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
2:00 PM - Zero F's Given vs The Timbers
The finale. An entire season comes down to one game, one result, one title. Biggest game of the year for both sides and it doesn't get better than a championship on the line to close out the day.

πŸ’ CBHC Sunday League – Silver Playoff Preview πŸ”₯
The Silver Division postseason has arrived; one loaded with rivlary, pressure, and unfinished business.

Drieser Street enters as the #1 seed and defending champion, two titles in the last three seasons. After a long Flavorinos reign, Drieser has become the new standard. They're structured, experienced, and battle-tested. But nothing comes easy in this division.

11:00 AM – PLAY-IN: Fighting Irish vs Diamondbacks
The D'Backs come in as one of the most dangerous defensive teams in the bracket. Joshua Graves has been excellent in net, John Gamm has provided timely offense, and they enter with real momentum. Across from them, the Irish arrive healthier and more active than their record suggests - they've pushed teams all season, and if they keep it tight early, they have the pieces to make things uncomfortable. Eddie Dymek can steal you games.

Winner advances to face Drieser at 1:00 PM.

12:00 PM – SEMI-FINAL: Flavorinos vs Misfits
These two always find each other when the stakes rise. The Flavorinos finished second, but the margin at the top was razor thin - Normandin, Rodriguez, Ghazarian, Milne, and company have the talent for another deep run.

The Misfits may be the hottest team in the division outside of Drieser, and when Hill, Siemer, Baker, Natale, and Sharples are rolling, they can beat anyone.

Expect overtime drama. That's been the case in 2 of their last 3 playoff matchups.

1:00 PM – SEMI-FINAL: Play-In Winner vs Drieser Street
The reward for surviving the play-in? A rested defending champion. Scott Shinn leads the division in points, goals, assists, and points per game. Aaron Portillo anchors the crease. Drieser has every reason to believe they can repeat.

Can the D'Backs defense keep sturdy for a second game? Do the Irish have more than one shock result in them? Or does Drieser remind everyone why they're still the champs?

πŸ’ CBHC Sunday League β€” Premier Division Playoff Preview
πŸ“… Sunday, May 31, 2026

The Winter '26 Premier Division regular season is done. Two games stand between them and a championship title. Here's what to watch.

9:00 AM β€” #3 Ball Hogs vs #2 Pharaohs
On paper, the tightest matchup of the day. The Ball Hogs led the entire division in goals scored - 39 over the regular season - and haven't suffered defeat since Week 7. The Pharaohs finished second, a balanced and experienced squad with playoff pedigree.

But the most recent head-to-head looms large. The Ball Hogs handed the Pharaohs an 8-1 dismantling just two weeks ago; a result that'll be tough to shake at the 9 o'clock draw. HPharaohs won both earlier meetings this season, so the history is there. But momentum is firmly in the Ball Hogs' corner heading in.

10:00 AM β€” #4 OC Squatch vs #1 The Chiefs
The standings say everything. The Chiefs were the class of this division - 7 wins, a +15 goal differential, and owners of the division's best defensive record with just 13 goals allowed all season. The defending champs have beaten the Squatch in all three regular season meetings, including a 6-0 shutout in their last encounter two weeks ago.

Squatch finished with 2 points and a -32 differential. That said, the playoffs reset everything - anything can happen. Standing in their way is the Chiefs' Aaron Portillo with a 1.57 GAA and a .916 save percentage, the best numbers in the division by a wide margin.

πŸ“Š Trends to Watch
Erik Zak enters as the division's most dangerous player β€” 20 points, 9 goals, leading every major offensive category. He's been the Pharaohs' engine all season. If the Ball Hogs can't contain him early, this one could flip fast.

Tanner Turcotte has been the Ball Hogs' model of consistency β€” a point in every game this season, with his best coming in the last meeting against these very Pharaohs. John Ahedo leads the division in game-winning goals with 2. On the other side, Scott Shinn has been the Chiefs' quiet offensive force β€” 15 points, 9 goals, tied for the division scoring lead. With Portillo behind him, the Chiefs have answers on both ends.

Road to the Championship. Let's go. πŸ”₯

πŸ’ CBHC Tuesday Night League β€” Quarterfinal Recap

Three games. Three advancing teams. One night that set the stage perfectly for what's coming.

7:30 PM β€” Banana Hammocks 10, Graveyard Shift 2
The Hammocks came out on a mission. Luca Allevato broke the seal twelve seconds in, and from there it was a controlled demolition. Thompson and Shaw added before the break - 3-0 after one, Graveyard managing just two shots.

McCurry pushed it to 4-0 early in the second and briefly it looked like a runaway. But the Shift dug in - Alex Simon pulled one back to make it 4-1 and stirred something. The Hammocks answered immediately. Souto buried two in 31 seconds, Thompson added one with three ticks left in the period, and it was 7-2 at intermission. Thompson completed a masterful night in the third and the Hammocks never once let their foot off the gas. Joshua Graves was outstanding in a losing effort β€” 25 saves on 35 shots.

⭐ Nolan Thompson Jr. β€” 4G, 2A

8:30 PM β€” Slapshots 2, Strange Brew 1
A completely different animal. Zak opened the scoring late in the first off a Hassay setup and that was it for a long time. The second was a ten-minute war, seven shots each, no breathing room. Pure playoff grind. Everything the neutral viewer would want to see.

In the third, Zak buried his second with under four minutes to play and the Slapshots looked through. But Khan answered for the Brew at 2:10, setting up a frantic finish with the goalie eventually pulled. The Brew pushed everything they had β€” the Slapshots held the line. Shots dead even at 21. Every inch earned.
⭐ Erik Zak β€” 2G, GWG

9:30 PM β€” American Bullies 3, The Riot 0
A tight scoreless first gave way to Bullies' captain Chet Johnson breaking the deadlock early in the second off Olsen and Klein. From there, the Bullies locked it down and quelled the Riot's efforts. Heckmuller doubled the lead in the third off a clean sequence with Andy Roy, then buried the dagger - empty netter, four seconds left on the clock. Jesse Milne stopped all 15 shots he faced. Five straight wins and a team that looks genuinely dangerous entering the semis.
⭐ Paul Heckmuller β€” 2G

Next week we hold the Semi-Finals, and the reigning champs wake up.

πŸ’ CBHC Tuesday Night League – Quarterfinal Preview

The regular season is over. None of it matters now.

Records reset. One bad period can end a season, one big performance can change everything. Welcome to the playoffs.

7:30 PM – #6 Graveyard Shift vs #3 Banana Hammocks

Graveyard Shift enter the postseason playing some of their best hockey. Tyler Hill has caught fire offensively, Danny Antonelli continues to create problems around the net, and Joshua Graves has been outstanding between the pipes.

But the Hammocks have been one of the league’s most balanced teams all season long. Aaron Dacuycuy continues to quietly drive play, Paul Budlong has come up with huge goals all year, and Jake Patora is capable of stealing a game outright.

These teams split the season series. The difference tomorrow could come down to composure and special teams.

8:30 PM – #5 Strange Brew vs #4 The Slapshots

Probably the hardest matchup to predict on the board.

The Slapshots can score with anybody when they get rolling. Erik Zak finished the regular season as one of the league’s most dangerous players, while Tim Hare, Steve Natale, and Kyle Hassay give them options all over the rink.

But Brew thrive in ugly games.

They defend hard, slow things down, and make teams earn every inch. Vince Sartor and Shaz Khan have all delivered in big moments before, and if Brew can keep this game tight late, they’ll absolutely believe they can take it.

The Slaps lead the regular season series, both of which being one-goal margins.

9:30 PM – #7 The Riot vs #2 American Bullies

A few weeks ago, this matchup might’ve looked straightforward. Not anymore.

The Riot have shown flashes lately that make them dangerous. Nate Schultz remains a game-breaker, Sameer Devji can change pace instantly, and they know they can hang with anyone when things click.

But the Bullies might be the hottest team entering playoffs.

Four straight wins! Paul Heckmuller has elevated his game at the perfect time, Andy Roy gives them balance and Jesse Milne gives them confidence in goal every night.

The postseason starts TONIGHT. Survive and advance.

BRONZE DIVISION AWARD WINNERS πŸ†

The votes are in.

After a competitive Winter ’26 season, the Bronze Division award winners have officially been crowned.

Most Valuable Player: Kenneth Sheets, The Timbers
Most Valuable Defenseman: Chad Buck, Zero F’s Given
Most Valuable Goaltender: John Dugan, The Timbers

Sheets led the way offensively for the top team in the division, Buck brought steady two-way impact for Zero F’s Given, and Dugan was lights out in net with a ridiculous .952 save percentage, 0.66 GAA, and 3 shutouts.

Big seasons. Big performances. Well deserved.

CBHC Sunday League – Winter 2026 Weekly Recap πŸ”₯

🟑 PREMIER DIVISION
Ball Hogs 8 – 1 Pharaohs
The Hogs came out flying and never looked back. A huge offensive performance led by Jakob Nelson’s hat trick and three-point games from Kerry Hew and Tanner Turcotte. The Pharaohs had moments but the Hogs controlled possession and zone time throughout.
⭐ POG: Jakob Nelson – 3G

Chiefs 6 – 0 OC Squatch
A sharp performance from the Chiefs to close the regular season - continuing their momentum heading into playoffs. Squatch battled, but the Chiefs’ depth and structure overwhelmed the game early.
⭐ POG: Scott Shinn – 3G

βšͺ SILVER DIVISION
Drieser Street Devils 6 – 1 Misfits
With first place on the line, the Devils delivered. The Misfits were missing key pieces in Zach Siemer and Tyler Hill, and the Devils took full advantage with relentless pressure and balanced scoring. Scott Shinn, Joel White, and Doug Tran led the charge as Drieser locked up the #1 seed heading into playoffs.
⭐ POG: Joel White – 2G, 1A

Diamondbacks 3 – 1 Flavorinos
The Diamondbacks officially shook up the standings. Needing a win to play spoiler, they got exactly that behind a dominant effort from John Gamm. Flavorinos entered the day controlling their destiny for first place, but the D’Backs had other ideas, pushing them down to second and opening the door for Drieser Street to jump top spot.
⭐ POG: John Gamm – 2G, 1A

🟠 BRONZE DIVISION PLAYOFFS
Timbers 5 – 0 Mighty Pigs
The defending champions looked every bit the part. The Timbers were composed in every phase, limiting chances while capitalizing on their own. Sheets and Sharples delivered offensively, while Dugan earned the shutout as the Timbers punched their ticket back to the Bronze final.
⭐ POG: Patrick Sharples – 1G, 1A

Zero F’s Given 1 – 0 Wu Killa Bees
Game of the day. Freeman Butland struck just one minute into the game, but from there it became an all-out battle. Waves of pressure but neither refused to quit. David Wallerstein stood on his head with massive saves to keep the Bees alive, while Josiah Garcia rang one off the pipe in a tense finish. ZFG held firm and now advance to face the Timbers in the Final.
⭐ POG: Freeman Butland – GWG
