Yes, losing Myles Garrett stings.
But the Browns did right by him.

He got his massive extension, and deservedly so.
And they gave him a legit chance to win a championship.

Realistically, Garrett couldn't win a ring with the current version of the Browns.

It wasn't an ugly split by the looks of it.
It's just a team and a franchise legend looking at different ends of the spectrum.

Myles Garrett will always be a Brown.
And us fans will be happy to see him win a well-deserved ring.

The year nobody expects the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl might be the exact year they actually pull it off.

The massive expectations surrounding America's Team have slowed down.

And that might be exactly what they need.

When you look at the offensive firepower, the pieces are there.

Dak Prescott has proven he is fully capable of putting together an MVP-caliber campaign at any given moment.

Pair that with a rushing attack that found a great rhythm last season with Javonte Williams.

And the guaranteed elite production of a fully healthy CeeDee Lamb, and this offense is incredibly dangerous.

The defense has been the obvious weak link, but major changes are underway.

With a brand-new defensive coordinator in Christian Parker calling the shots and the highly anticipated arrival of rookie playmaker Caleb Downs, the entire unit could see a massive, much-needed turnaround.

The perfect storm might be finally brewing in Dallas.

Are the Cowboys flying under the radar as legit contenders this season?

The idea of Baker Mayfield in Black and Yellow is starting to look like an absolute dream scenario for Pittsburgh.

With Baker’s contract talks completely stalling out in Tampa Bay, a window could be opening up for the Steelers to finally secure their true franchise quarterback next spring.

Baker naturally embodies everything Steelers football is about.

He plays with that raw grit, physical toughness, and fierce, competitive attitude that belongs in the AFC North.

Dropping him into an offense with DK Metcalf would immediately turn Pittsburgh into a legitimate contender.

Plus, the absolute cinema of Baker playing the Browns and Ravens twice a year would break the NFL internet.

If Tampa Bay lets him test the market, should the Steelers make Baker Mayfield their absolute top priority for 2027?

🏈 Patrick Mahomes
Mahomes suffered the severe ligament damage in the final minutes of a game against the Chargers back on December 14. He underwent major reconstructive surgery the very next day.

πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ He has been grinding through rehab directly at the Chiefs' facilities this summer rather than his usual home in Texas. He was cleared for limited, non-contact work during minicamps and is currently on track to participate when training camp opens in late July. πŸš€

⚜️ Chris Olave
❌ Olave discovered the condition late last season and was forced to sit out the Saints' 2025 season finale against the Atlanta Falcons.

⚠️ Because blood clots require strict management with blood thinners and pose serious internal risks, the medical staff is being incredibly cautious. He has been present at workouts but has been strictly held out of all competitive team drills.

πŸ¦… Zach Charbonnet
πŸ—“οΈ Charbonnet tore his ligament during the divisional round of the playoffs earlier this year. Because of the deeper postseason run, his surgery wasn't scheduled until February 20, putting him on a slightly delayed timeline compared to guys who got hurt in the regular season.

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ He was seen doing light conditioning work on the sidelines during June minicamps. While ACL timelines usually push his return past Week 1, head coach Mike Macdonald left the door cracked by saying "everything's possible" regarding the season opener. πŸšͺ

The Pittsburgh Steelers have their QB1 for 2026.

But they might not have one for 2027.

Aaron Rodgers has already confirmed this will be his final season, which means the countdown is officially on in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers have started preparing for life after Rodgers.

They spent a third-round pick on Drew Allar and still have Will Howard developing in the building.

But let's be honest, if Pittsburgh truly believed the next franchise quarterback was already on the roster, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation.

That's why the next year could get very interesting.

Baker Mayfield's contract situation in Tampa Bay remains unresolved, and he has already admitted extension talks aren't close.

Then there's the dream scenario.

James Harrison recently admitted he's been trying to recruit Joe Burrow to Pittsburgh.

Is it realistic? Probably not.

But the fact that Steelers legends are openly trying to manifest it tells you everything you need to know about how badly this franchise wants to find its next long-term answer.

The Steelers can go three different directions:

Trust the young guys

Chase a proven veteran

Swing for a superstar

One way or another, the Rodgers era is ending.

And the search for Pittsburgh's next franchise QB may have already begun.

Myles Garrett hasn't even played a snap for the Rams yet...and he's already converting fans.

LA Dodgers manager Dave Roberts admitted he's switching allegiances from Chargers Nation to Rams Nation after Los Angeles landed the reigning Defensive Player of the Year.

πŸ’¬ "He's top of the food chain, it's going to make a good defense even better."

πŸ’¬ "I'm excited to see him throw out the first pitch and in a Rams uniform."

Then Roberts dropped the bombshell:
πŸ’¬ "I used to be a Chargers fan but now it's sensitive up here."

Safe to say the Garrett trade is creating plenty of excitement around Los Angeles. πŸ˜…

Rams already had championship aspirations.

Adding Myles Garrett may have just taken those expectations to another level.

And apparently even longtime Chargers fans are starting to notice. πŸ‘€πŸ”₯

Since reviving his career with the Buccaneers, Baker Mayfield has been a perfect fit from day one.

Over his three seasons under center, he has secured two division crowns and earned two Pro Bowl nods.

But as he enters the final year of his current $100 million deal, contract extension negotiations have hit a significant roadblock.

He recently revealed that current talks are "not anywhere close" to what he is seeking.

With training camp right around the corner in mid-July, Mayfield has made it clear that if a compromise isn't reached by then, he will shut down all negotiations and play out his final season.

Currently the 16th highest-paid signal-caller in the league at $33.3M annually, Mayfield’s production has him aiming for a payday that mirrors top-tier market value.

While he and his family love the Tampa community and want to stay long-term, the clock is officially ticking on the front office to bridge the gap.

Should the Bucs pay Baker what he wants before camp kicks off?

Maybe the Rams will take a swing at Joe Burrow in a couple of years.

It sounds wild, but Los Angeles operates a front office like no other.

If they ever decide to go all-in on a superstar QB like Burrow down the line, they already have Ty Simpson ready to use as a premium trade chip alongside their future picks.

The Rams just proved this fearless mentality once again by acquiring Myles Garrett in a massive blockbuster trade.

While the rest of the NFL heavily guards their draft capital, LA has absolutely zero fear of sending away first-rounders to bring in proven, elite superstars.
