Give the gift of Moksha - liberation of the mind. Yoga leads to this; among many other benefits, such as building personal confidence and inquiring deeply about the nature of the self. In a country full of pride, still recovering from colonial scars, orphans are among the highest at risk of human trafficking. Karibu Mabayi Yoga School / Shule Wa Yoga (In Kiswahili, because I haven’t learned all my Kirundi yet) aims to give these children - who live at a convent - the tools of self-fulfillment and discovery. 📖🌎🔍The curriculum blends the yoga of Krishnamacharya lineage, with flavors of Egyptian yoga (Kemetic) and Christian teachings. It is presented pictorially with names in Kirundi alongside the traditional names to help them learn. 🧘🏾‍♀️👁️🛖Yoga has given me so much, I am fairly bursting at the seams for the transmission of yoga to older children, who can then teach the younger ones, and local villagers as well. 📘🎨🖌️Knowing thyself is, after all, a great thing! This is a long-term project, with a Medicine Garden, Storytelling Pavilion, and Eco Village on the horizon. Please donate either one-time or monthly to make this dream a reality. Another successful gathering of Women 35+ in the park complete. We enjoyed stone fruit season while crafting with diamond-shaped beads under the trees in Woodland Hills, California. A lovely way to spend the day! Thanks Winona 💜 Helping women in perimenopause & menopause feel great for bringing us together. Usha takes over at Warner Center Park in July!

Almost! Great attempts at side star to mono shoulderstand with shin-to-foot and back again. We have members rehabbing and building strength, slowly and surely. I focus on the longevity of your acro practice, making the machines more ergonomic, and yummy feeling in the body. Come to North Hollywood Park next Sunday at 12 pm for another community jam! New website is pending - Call us Noho Valley Acro from now on.

Acro, you’re the man that I need. 😅💃🏾🤸🏾‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🧘🏾‍♀️🧠❤️👏🏾 I got to do my favorite thing today. More all-level classes are coming across the SFV Valley! More location information coming soon. This ergonomic, mini flow is called, Bask in Glory. I think it up and then we execute during class, exploring the movement patterns together. I’m doing what my students need right now, which is carefully executed, slow-paced flows as they recover from major injuries. It helps me to conserve my energy as well at this point in my life.
