THE FIX IS IN! Across 15 recent UFC cards, ~65-75% of non-title fighters typically use the +1 lb allowance. UFC 316 is an extreme outlier — almost no fighters used the allowance, and most hit the exact weight. This statistically suggests a scale offset to protect a main card title fight — very likely Kayla Harrison, who had never hit 135.0 before.
