The annual Bellarmine-Sacred Heart 5K OPEN (Griffith Park, CA) is going VIRTUAL!
Like most running events, we had to decide whether to cancel, postpone or find an alternative to hosting our event. We felt that making the race a virtual run offered the best solution.
While our nation and the world grapples with the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic, our thoughts and prayers go out to the most severely affected. We are also grateful for the essential workers, medics, nurses and other health care professionals who are on the front lines.
Our virtual event is designed for runners of all ability levels. For those who take running more seriously, you can use our race to measure your performance en route to bigger running goals.
Exercise is an important component, now more than ever, as a means to reduce mental stress. Running is healthy, it makes you feel good and the competition will add some entertainment to your day. WE HOPE YOU CAN JOIN US!

Participants will compete in male and female age groups, in 5 year increments, from 14 & under to 70+. Every paid finisher will get a t-shirt, provided they report their times to Athletic.net by midnight, Friday, November 20th. All reported results will be reviewed and verified.
Registration and race instructions:
REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 14th, 7AM
Why: Health, competitiveness, entertainment and a really cool running t-shirt!
When: Run any day between November 14th, 7AM through Friday, November 20th, 5PM
Where: Choose a flat 5K course of your liking. Always use precaution. Safety first! All social distancing standards and national, state, county and local government health laws pertaining to Covid-19 still apply.

We are not advocating for group, team or club runs or that anyone run together. Social distancing standards still apply. This is an OPEN 5K. Athletes of all abilities are welcomed!
