I slid into her DMs while she was still recovering from heart surgery.

She could’ve said not right now. She said “I need to be the strongest woman in the room again.”

That’s it. That’s the whole thing.

She’s a Chief Development Officer for a hospital foundation. Two kids. Already been through brain surgery before this. She had every excuse in the book. She just didn’t use any of them.

No group classes. No hours in the kitchen. No obsessing over the scale ever again. We built something that actually fit her life.

Down 20lbs and back in the heavy weight section. Her words, not mine: “I am still in shock by the progress I’ve made.”

This isn’t a story about her being special. It’s a story about a woman who finally said yes to herself.

You can do this too. You just have to actually want it more than you want to stay comfortable.
