The focus of this workshop will be to introduce and improve sequences and transitions. Transitions are necessary for building any sequence. Smooth transitions can help elevate all your aerial poses and flows. We will work on mounts, rolls, climbs, and just about any other way you can move in and around the hoop. Students can expect to learn versatile transitions to add to their existing practice.

Level: intermediate
Pre-req: Comfort with inversion and able to get onto the hoop with control

Are you hoping to perform in the next Circo Sereno on June 6? Are you new to physical performance and want to know more about how ideas and sequences get from class and lessons to the stage? Are you an emerging performer who wants some additional insight and inspiration?

Join for this miniseries where we explore and developed the “soft” skills embedded in performing. You don’t need a complete act or even the intention to perform anytime soon, only the desire to refine the more amorphous aspects that go into performance!

This three week series will focus on selecting music, selecting choreography and transitions, intricacies of groundwork, stage presence, connecting with an audience, how to set a rehearsal plan, and more.
