For those that have shown interest in the Shin Gyo To School of Iaijutsu, we are very sorry to announce that at this time, we are currently not practicing and have no further plans to resume practice at the Konko Church of Los Angeles. f drawing the sword," but in reality Iaido and Iaijutsu is much much more than how to use a traditional Japanese sword. The Shin Gyo To School of Iaijutsu has been dedicated to the preservation of an ancient art protected for many generations. Once part of the four major schools of swordsmanship in the Edo era of Japan, Shin Gyo To has evolved into a classic swordsmanship school that is now practiced by very few individuals throughout the world. The only existing group practicing this art in the United States, the Los Angeles chapter strives in the preservation of the art as well as studying the discipline and culture of the samurai, commonly known as Bushido. Classes are held every Saturday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at the Konko Church of Los Angeles. Anybody is welcome to visit and participate in classes anytime.
