🚩 Don’t ignore the dating signs! Sometimes, we try harder when a guy isn’t interested thinking he will like us more if we keep reaching out. He won’t. He doesn’t need you to remind him you’re there. Tough love - he’s not interested and you’re not less worthy because of that. Respect your dignity and know you deserve someone who wants you and is available.

💔 My tip: If you sense disinterest, it’s time to let go.

Divorce can make people question themselves in ways that are incredibly painful. Aharon shared something important about his children asking, in essence, “Why weren’t you the way you are with Jackie?”

Sometimes a relationship brings out parts of us that we didn’t know how to access before. We grow. We heal. We learn. We become different people. A marriage ending does not automatically mean someone is a bad person or incapable of having a healthy marriage.

Two people can simply be wrong for each other, even when both people have good qualities. The relationship didn’t work because those two people didn’t work together.

And that does not mean either person is incapable of building something beautiful with someone else. There is so much more to someone’s story than the relationship that ended.

A divorced man can sometimes bring a different kind of perspective into dating.

He has lived through marriage, family life, conflict, disappointment, heartbreak and the reality that relationships are rarely as simple as they look from the outside.

For the right man, those experiences can create humility, emotional depth, self-awareness and a greater understanding of what it takes to build a lasting relationship.

Of course, divorce itself doesn’t automatically make someone more mature or more relationship-ready. What matters is what he did with the experience.

Did he take responsibility? Did he learn? Did he heal? Can he talk honestly about what happened and what he would do differently?

Because life is messy. People are imperfect. Families are complicated. And sometimes the ability to hold all of that with honesty and compassion is exactly what makes someone ready for a real marriage.

When you’re really down, you don’t have to force yourself into hope. Start with where you actually are.

“I’m feeling really sad today. What would nurture me right now? What would help me feel supported?”

Maybe you need to rest. Call a friend. Go outside. Cry. Pray. Move your body. Do something that genuinely feels good. And while you’re there, watch the story your mind wants to build around the feeling. Stay with what is actually happening right now. You are allowed to have a difficult day without turning it into a prediction about your future.

Being single can feel incredibly lonely when you deeply want to be married.

But your relationship status does not determine how connected, supported, or close to Hashem you can feel.

You are allowed to want marriage. You are allowed to grieve what you don’t have yet. And you can still build a meaningful, connected life in the middle of the uncertainty.

Sometimes the chapter you’re waiting to leave is also a chapter where something important is being built within you. 🤍

Let’s Talk Dating Norms: 🗣️

✨Superficial Expectations: It’s disheartening when some men prioritize clothing sizes over meaningful connections. 🛍️ Let’s redefine attractiveness.

✨Honesty Matters: Transparency should be non-negotiable in matchmaking. 🤝 Concealing mental health issues only hinders genuine connections.

✨Respecting Choices: Singles are often told they’re ‘too picky’ for having standards. Let’s celebrate standards it’s a sign of confidence.

✨Age Gap: While age differences can be part of a healthy relationship, an extensive gap can bring challenges. Such a significant difference may lead to difficulties in understanding each other’s priorities and values.

✨Timetable Myths: The notion that women must be engaged by 22 is outdated. ⏳ Every journey to love is unique.

Elul, the month leading up to Rosh Hashanah, is a powerful time to turn inward, work on ourselves, and strengthen our relationship with Hashem.

One of the deeper ideas we can take from Elul is surrender.

Rosh Hashanah asks us to remember who is actually running the show. We say “Melech” — King — again and again because we are practicing a posture of humility: releasing our need to control the outcome and allowing Hashem to lead.

And I know how hard that can be when there is something you desperately want.

Especially when you’re looking at another year and thinking, “What if it doesn’t happen this year either?”

This month, I want to invite you to practice something different.

Instead of trying to figure out exactly how your story will unfold, work on creating the inner space to trust the One who already knows the whole story.
