It sometimes hurts to hear the truth. 😔 I felt like I was living a lie when I was 30lbs overweight. I would tell myself that I didn’t have time to take care of my health or body, that I needed to have the whole pan of brownies to make me feel better, that if my pants got too tight I would just buy bigger ones, that it was too expensive to eat healthy, or too boring (didn’t taste good) to eat healthy. I gave myself every freakin excuse in the book.
🧐 I remember the year I decided to do something different. Not the same old fad diet or 21 day challenge. No, this time I was dedicated to changing my life completely around. Since then I have hired a couple of coaches to help me be accountable and I tell you that’s what has changed it all for me. The knowledge that they gave upon me from their past years experience has completely changed my mindset on health and fitness.
The things I was trying before I could never quite understand why they didn’t work for me. 🤷🏻♀️I would always fall off the wagon. And then it dawned on me, it’s not just about following a diet and a workout, it’s about the knowledge and COMPLETELY understanding WHY you are eating certain things and WHY you lift weights and WHY a certain type of cardio over the other. It all finally clicked. It was like a light bulb turned on in my brain 🧠 and I understood everything.
⭐️ And I think that’s what holds the power behind it, is understanding the why. You can process things so much easier when you know WHY you are doing it!
