This season has reminded us how much community truly means… and how deeply grateful we are for every single person who has walked through our doors. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for supporting Ukiyo Academy, trusting us with your journey, and helping us build something so special these last two years. 💛

Today, we’re sharing a tender update:
We’re approaching our final week of classes as Ukiyo Academy, as we prepare for a new chapter beyond these walls — a decision that was incredibly difficult for us to make.

It’s not a goodbye to jiu jitsu… just a transition, wrapped in gratitude for every moment, every roll, every smile, and every bit of growth we’ve witnessed together.

We would love to see you on the mats this week, for hugs, rolls, laughs, photos, and those last beautiful moments in the place that became home for all of us.

Our final day together will be Saturday, December 6th at 12 PM (noon).
Everyone is invited to join us for one last training session and a warm send-off.

Thank you for being part of our story. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for helping us create a space filled with kindness, courage, and connection. Ukiyo — “the floating world” — has always been about being present, and we will carry these moments with us wherever we go.

Raf and I are feeling extra grateful this week and today for every single person who has stepped onto our mats, trusted us with their growth, and helped build this little floating world with us. Ukiyo has always meant “to be present in the moment,” and this year reminded us how powerful that presence can be… in community, in connection, and in showing up for each other.

Thank you for the laughs, the sweats, the breakthroughs, the tiny wins, the big wins, and all the support you’ve given our academy and our coaches. Whether you trained once, came every week, brought a friend, checked in on us, or simply believed in what we’re trying to build, we appreciate you deeply.

Wishing you and your loved ones a warm, safe, and restful Thanksgiving.
