Here’s one habit to break that: spend the moments after you wake with no phone (minimum 15mins, ideal 60mins)

Why do this?

Think about it.

Your phone gives you access to trillions of things…

In less than a second…
You could be reading about someone getting murdered in a different country or a crazy storm that hit 5 years ago or a personality test that lets you know the probability that you’ll become a psychopath…
You can find ANYTHING on the internet and so many people and companies are doing all they can to grab your attention and keep it on what they want you to focus on.

Do you want to live your life the way other people want you to? Or do you want to jump in the drivers seat and design the life you want?

Then you need to put the phone down.

Here’s the deal…

There are many things out of our personal control (wars, economy, etc.)

Honestly, MOST things are out of our personal control

The only things that are in our personal control are things like: our actions, our beliefs, etc.

BUT there are many things that we can INFLUENCE

How people treat us is one of those things

Here are some examples…

Do you feel that people take advantage of you?

⭕️ Stop saying yes to everything. Stop answering all of their calls. Stop responding to them right away. Since you are allowing this…people keep coming back for more.
⭕️ Stop putting up with toxic and unacceptable behavior. The more you allow it to happen, the more people will continue to treat you that way.
⭕️ Voice your needs and desires. The longer you go without doing so, the more people will believe that you don’t have any and the focus will be exclusively on their needs/desires.

The way you treat yourself is how others will grow accustomed to treating you.

Most people are living their life completely reactive to whatever situations arise throughout their day because they are not going to bed with a plan for the day ahead.

Everyone thinks they will find time to do the things they know they should be doing, like it is hidden somewhere underneath the bed next to your ab roller. You will never find time, you need to make time.
