SLO MO DIAGNOSIS:

If you disrupt your Sight Picture because of your Trigger Press your shot will impact the target wherever the front sight was as a result of the disruption.

This "disruption of Sight Picture" can take place in many forms but essentially, it is to say "you are disturbing the relationship between your sights and the target." (Usually be the way you press the trigger)

Another way to look at it is you are moving the gun off-target right before its fired.

For example, when a shooter flinches as they shoot they are essentially moving the gun during the firing process aka disrupting their shot.

If we look closely at this video, the shooter moved the front sight down and to the right just before the gun was fired. This resulted in the low-right impact on target.

On a target of this size, at this distance, the shooter's hit are perfectly within the acceptable scoring area. But at a further distance, small disruptions like this get magnified and can result in potential misses.

💥Be sure to work your trigger press in both Dry Fire and Live-Fire.

MATURITY

You'll know a child is ready to learn about firearm safety and marksmanship judging by the maturity level of the child.

Some children are very mature for their age and are able to demonstrate a surprisingly high level of competence in regards to safety and direction-taking.
