When I feel bloated on vacation, this is one of the first exercises I do 👇🏻

One of my biggest focuses in vacation workouts is reconnecting to my deep core to support digestion and get my gut motility back on track.

This bridge variation combines breath, deep core activation, and spinal articulation to help things move while also reducing that sluggish, puffy feeling that can come with travel.

Want reformer arms without a reformer? Try this 👇🏻

One of my favorite ways to recreate that sculpted reformer arm burn at home is with a long resistance band. The constant tension challenges the arms, upper back, posture, and deep core all at once - without needing heavy weights. You can also throw the band in a bag when you travel and get a full workout with it!

In Pilates by Sorel, arm work is never just about arms. We focus on how the shoulder blades glide, how the ribs stay connected, and how the trunk supports the movement so you feel stronger through the entire body.

There’s a huge difference between doing Pilates hinges like this… and THIS 👇🏻

First one: the movement drops straight into the lower back. The ribs flare, the pelvis disconnects, and the hinge becomes a compression pattern instead of a core exercise.

Second one: the deep core wraps in to support the spine before the body leans back. The waist stays lifted, ribs stay connected, and the spine lengthens through the hinge instead of collapsing into it.

In Pilates by Sorel, the hinge isn’t about how far back you go - it’s about how much support and lift you maintain while moving against gravity.

Cue it like this:
✨ wrap the low abs in before hinging
✨ lift up out of the hips
✨ keep ribs stacked over pelvis
✨ lengthen through crown of head
✨ move back as one long line

That’s when the shakes show up 🔥

No Barbie feet ! 👠

This is one of my absolute essential cues for activating the deep core and turning on the inner thighs x 1000 when doing inner thigh pulses.

In the first one the ankle is locked up in a forced arch and there’s not really a ton of inner thigh or deep core engagement going on ….

Second one the ankle softens and the heel lowers just a few inches off the ground - you can see almost immediately I start to get the pilates SHAKES 😅 the inner thighs and deep core are turned on and there’s less pressure on the joint and more focus on engaging stabilizing muscles.
