There’s so much that could be said about this past year and the experience shared with you at the 2023 CrossFit Games and the Rogue Invitational in our home city of Austin,TX. To say I’m proud would be a MASSIVE understatement.

I’m proud of your courage - for stepping out on the floor in front of thousands, knowing you’re not at your best and knowing that the pain that’s plagued you the last two years is one wrong move away from returning.

I’m proud of your grit - to persevere and continue pushing forward, one foot in front of the other, in the face of uncertainty with the odds against you.

I’m proud of your focus - your ability to stay in your lane, run your own race, and manage the things within your control.

I’m proud of your mental resiliency - when negative thoughts, feelings of inadequacy and embarrassment crept in, you were able to quickly silence them, return to the moment and be at peace.

-I’m proud of your ability to inspire and connect - instead of being wrapped up in your own world, you take the time to genuinely connect with fans, other athletes and find time to encourage or celebrate others.

More than anything, regardless of any placement, recognition or status, I’m proud of who you are, how you’ve grown and who I know you’ll continue to grow to be.

Thank you for inspiring me, loving me, and for allowing me to be on this journey with you.
