Rushton Stables is a World renowned training barn that has been very successful on the Local, Regional and National Level. We specialize in pleasure horses that are a pleasure to ride. Lessons for adults and children; beginners thru advanced riders on safe, well trained, and happy horses. Lessons include instruction on haltering, leading, grooming and riding. All get the same attention to safety and fun with each rider or driver striving toward their individual goals. We specialize in pleasure horses that are a pleasure to ride. Saddleseat, Hunt Seat, Western, Equitation and Driving instruction available. Riders of all ages are welcome, lessons include instruction on haltering, leading, grooming as well as riding. Working with horses is physically demanding so we offer a special program for our youngest riders 6 and under who may not be up to a full lesson yet.

This season, we had a rider dust off their show clothes, climb back into the saddle, and make their return to the ring. While ribbons are always exciting, the biggest victory is having the courage to come back and chase a passion after time away.

This past weekend at , These riders not only stepped into the ring and represented Rushton Stables LA beautifully in their Walk-Trot classes, but they also spent the rest of the day cheering on, encouraging, and helping our younger riders navigate the horse show experience. From answering questions and offering advice to celebrating every success, they truly embodied what it means to be part of a barn family.

Blue skies, great horses, big smiles, and ribbons all around! 💙🐴🏆

What a fantastic weekend for Team Rushton LA at the ETI Route 101 Horse Show! We are so proud of every rider who stepped into the ring, challenged themselves, supported one another, and represented our barn with outstanding sportsmanship.

While the ribbons are always exciting, our favorite part is seeing riders of all ages celebrating each other’s successes, sharing laughs between classes, and creating memories that will last long after the show is over. From our youngest competitors to our most experienced riders, everyone contributed to an amazing day.

Congratulations to all of our horse-and-rider teams on a successful show! Thank you to our trainers, families, volunteers, and of course our incredible horses for making weekends like this possible.

This photo perfectly captures what we strive for at Rushton Stables LA. While ribbons and championships are exciting, the true measure of success is the support, encouragement, and respect our riders show one another.

Whether it’s cheering on a teammate, lending a helping hand, offering words of encouragement, or celebrating someone else’s accomplishment, great horsemen and horsewomen understand that we all succeed together.

We are proud to watch our riders grow not only in their horsemanship skills, but also in their character, kindness, and sportsmanship. Those lessons will last far longer than any ribbon.

At Rushton Stables LA, we are so thankful for students who not only work hard in and out of the show ring, but who also take the time to give back to their community. ❤️🐴

A special shout out to one of our show riders, Sarah ( ), for volunteering her time to help teach a Daisy and Brownie Girl Scout troop about horse care and horsemanship. From learning about grooming and daily care to understanding the responsibility and love that goes into caring for these amazing animals, the girls had such a wonderful experience.

We are incredibly proud to have students who are willing to share their knowledge, passion, and kindness with the next generation. Thank you, Sarah, for representing the barn so well and helping inspire future horse lovers! 💙

Our response

Always ask yourself what you can control and do your best to manage that- try not to worry about what you cannot control. This goes for in and out of the saddle!!

We couldn’t let Saddlebred Saturday pass without mentioning this amazing mare and the two ladies who showed her at the Silicon Valley Horse Show!

Both Rachel and Eleanor Truong took the reins on Dragonette, and what a big step up it was for this team. Watching riders gain confidence, and take on new challenges is what it’s all about. We are so proud of both of these ladies for stepping into the ring and giving it their all with this special mare. 💙✨

Sometimes horses take you somewhere unexpected. One minute you’re focused on hunt seat, and the next thing you know you’re out there tackling Ranch!

Huge shoutout to Hannah Gray and Stolen Resolution for always being willing to try something new. We love seeing riders who stay flexible, positive, and ready for any challenge that comes their way. That willingness to learn and grow is what makes great horsemen. 🤠🐴

We can’t wait to see where this journey takes this team next!
