Barranca Mesa Pool Welcome! Barranca Mesa Pool is a membership based outdoor swimming pool located next to Barranca Elementary. We are open Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Barranca Mesa Pool has been a membership-based swimming pool serving the Los Alamos community for more than 50 years. Memberships are available both for sale and rental, and allow the member access to the pool during open hours for the summer. With both a main pool that ranges from 2 to 12 feet deep and a kiddie pool, Barranca Mesa Pool has lots to offer to all swimmers.

The pool is ⚡️ bolted⚡️ and will be for a little while as this storm passes!

A note about bolting: When lightning is within 10 miles of the pool, the lifeguards will blow the whistle and indicate the pool is bolted. This means the pool is closed for 30 minutes from the last lightning strike within 10 miles. This “clock” resets with every new strike within 10 miles.
