What is Street Soccer? Street Soccer has been has been around even before the traditional 11 a-side game was invented back in the 1800’s. It has been the way children develop and spend their recreational time in most countries around the world. Many of the best players in the world grew up playing street soccer in one form or another. Messi, Maradona, Ronaldo (Brazil), Zidane, Ronaldinho, Neymar J

r., and Zlatan are just a few greats who have played the sport. The term street soccer encompasses a number of informal varieties of soccer there is one vs. one Panna where the objective is to use your skills to nutmeg (Panna) the opponent (the ultimate humiliation) or score goals. There is also the more traditional way of playing the street soccer this is usually in a small sided setting of two vs. two up to 5 a-side. The rules vary depending on where you are playing but most games are played in a court setting with small goals and no goalies. Street Soccer has recently been made popular by young players in the Urban cities posting videos on Youtube. Young players from all over the world between the ages of 12 to their early 20s have been posting some of the most amazing new ground moves invented from playing street soccer. Street soccer has given a platform for our young future soccer stars to develop, be creative and invent new ways to humiliate their opponent.

After a successful first cycle during 2013-14 which saw more than 400 players attend camps in five regions, the program has expanded to eight regions. Those camps will identify players who will be invited to participate in the National I.D. Camp.
