My favorite part of this experience…….see the article below. All of the outside noise that pitted these two against each other all year. To see them talk, laugh, support each other for the 2 days they were together. Every time I turned around, they were together. This is what it is about!!!!!
South 3A/4A Can't Quite Erase 5-Run Deficit In Loss To North 3A/4A

South 3A/4A's effort to come back from down five runs in the seventh inning came up just short, as they fell 8-7 to North 3A/4A on Wednesday at Lexington High School. South 3A/4A closed the gap by scoring on a double and an error.
South 3A/4A got on the board in the first inning after Alivia Hess (Aynor) hit into a double play, but one run scored.
North 3A/4A jumped into the lead in the top of the third when #11 doubled, scoring two runs, Hess (Aynor) induced #13 to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and #3 lined out, scoring one run.
Hess (Aynor) started in the circle for South 3A/4A. The hurler gave up three hits and four runs over four innings, striking out four and walking two.
Kenzie McCoy (Loris) and Hess (Aynor) were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for South 3A/4A while hitting back-to-back. Briar Mros (Hanahan) went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. South 3A/4A turned two double plays in the game.
#5 and #14 each collected two hits for North 3A/4A. #5 and #11 each drove in two runs for North 3A/4A. North 3A/4A turned one double play in the game.
