Hello everyone,
I am conducting a research entitled Oncologist providers awareness of the 2019 ACSM exercise guidelines and referrals to exercise for cancer survivorship, as a course requirement for my Masters in Cancer Care at Saint Francis University. I am looking for responses from practicing oncologists, oncology physicians, oncology nurses, and patient navigators in the oncology setting.
In connection with this, I would greatly appreciate your help to provide necessary data for my study in order to provide some insight on oncology providers and ways to close the gap in referring patients to exercise. If you or someone you know falls into this category of providers, would you please consider completing this survey so that we can better understand how to further improve the care cancer survivors receive?

We are excited to share that we have added an extra meeting each month and will have a virtual option available for those not able to attend in person! All cancer survivors of all cancer types are invited to join! If you are unable to attend in person, please email us at [email protected] for the link to attend via zoom! We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our first Cancer Support Group on Feb 8th at 5pm at the DiSepio Institute here at SFU . All cancer survivors are welcome!

We plan to host this support group on the first Tuesday of every month going forward so stay tuned if you’re unable to attend our first session! We looking forward to seeing you there!!! 🎗👯

Currently in Dubuque, IA, Reagan Friend (soon to be second year of our MSCC program) has finished up her internship at the CARES Lab!

During my time at the CARES Lab, I have not only grown in my knowledge of exercise oncology but also in my ability to deliver and receive compassion from all our patients! I have been so lucky to get to know so many cancer survivors in such a short period of time that have allowed me to truly change my perspective on my already decided career. I set my eyes on exercise oncology a few years back but this summer solidified the belief that cancer care is more than providing a service. I truly care for my patients and have found to love every day that I’m able to work with them. The outpouring support for this field is a direct result of the benefits I feel that I’m able to provide my patients with. It has become even more evident how important this field is for the quality of life of cancer survivors!
