East Guernsey Youth Football Buckeye Trail youth football program offering 1/2 grade flag football, 3/4 and 5/6 tackle football. Our 3/4 and 5/6 tackle athletes with the SEOYFL.

My apologies to these boys. I completely forgot to post this last week!!
Show some extra love for our Week 2 players who absolutely “Candy” Crushed it in practice. Again, players were nominated by their coaches, for their outstanding effort in practice throughout the entire week. Great job boys.

We are blessed with these young men’s presence at practices and games. To say they’ve made an impact on our kids, would be an understatement. We can’t thank you enough for being the leaders and program-builders that you are. You could be icing your injuries or playing some BS online game or doing a million other things..but instead you choose to pass on your knowledge and love for the game, onto the next generation of Warriors. This is what’s being built here…A Family Culture!

We had a weekend full of football! And we wouldn’t want it any other way. 
Our flag football crews went head to head with the kickoff to their season! 
BT Blue over BT Grey 24-0.
🏈Great job Warriors!!🏈

The UL Jets asked if they could borrow our (air) field (im tryin here), and you know we always find a way to give the kids the chance to play football! So we happily obliged and welcome them on over. Thank you to everyone who volunteered at the last minute to help flip this to a home game.  And thank you to the UL Jets for bringing so many volunteers to help as well!
What a great crew you guys have in place!

The 5/6 teams faced off first. The warriors were able to clear the airspace with a with a 42-0 victory!  They improve to 2-0 on the season!

The 3/ 4 teams had more of a defensive juggernaut. The Warriors were unfortunately on the losing end of that battle with the Jets winning 12–0. Keep grinding Warriors! We are still cheering’ for ya!

Our flag teams are back in action next week with BT Gray @ 1030a and BT Blue @ 11:30a at Cambridge biddy league field. Good luck!!

Our 3/4 and 5/6 tackle teams are back in action next Saturday at Barnesville Stadium. The 3/4 kickoff at 5p and the 5/6 kickoff at 7p!🏈💪🏼

GAME SCHEDULE CHANGE!!!

 Unfortunately we have to cancel the game today for our 3/4 and 5/6 tackle teams.
We plan to reschedule for tomorrow AT HOME.

5/6 will play at 1:30 PM
3/4 will play at 3:30 PM

We hope to see you all there!

🏈🏈🏈 It’s game day!🏈🏈🏈

Everybody gets in on the action today, baby!

Our flag football season officially kicks off today with Buckeye Trail Blue vs Buckeye Trail Grey!
These boys and girls play at 12:30 at the Cambridge biddy league field beside the tennis courts in Cambridge! Check your local listings to make sure it’s not blacked out in your area. But to be on the safe side, grab a chair and get your butt there!

Our 3/4 and 5/6 tackle crew travel east on I 70 this evening with a little night action at Union Local High School.  the Warriors will try to ground of the Jets starting with 3/4 kick off at 5pm and the 5/6 kickoff at 7 PM!
Good luck to all the players and coaches today and represent the name on the front of that jersey well!

We’ve always heard that cliche saying “practice like you play”. But man, everyone plays a little bit harder when the lights come on. So we want to shed some light (see what I did there) on some players who have Crushed the effort level this week in practice. These players were nominated by a coach.

3/4- Oliver Johnson- our big hitter and Warrior Level Effort player from our scrimmages/week 1. Also he definitely started this whole idea 🤣 He’s patiently waited for that KitKat!

Today kicked off our season opener against Cameron at home!
Our Varsity squad took the W with a 27-15 decision. 💪🏼 🏈
This game was put on a “brief” delay after some light showers hit the area. Our neighbors from Cameron said the country roads that take them home, take too long to make twice! So they rode out the storm with us. Thanks to that crew from Cameron, and our officials for keeping the games moving, safely!

Our JV squad took one the chin today with a 0-12 loss. Chin up boys. Get em next time!

Being a leader doesn’t always get you voted to Captain on the team, but being a captain always requires leadership. Congratulations to our JV Captains. You were nominated by your teammates, which says a lot about how others see you every day!
