I’m sure this is going to get a lot of negative reactions or made fun of but I don’t care.
Lately I’ve been struggling to find purpose. I’ve sat and listened to every self help, motivational speech I could find on YouTube. One stuck out to me, and she said the most fulfilling thing a person can do for their mental health is to help someone else everyday, in some way. While that is ambitious, I think I will start small.
I want to open my gym up on Wednesdays for a group session, this will be completely free. Doesn’t matter what your struggle is, I want to provide a safe place for anyone to come and tell their story. If you suffer from PTSD, depression, anxiety, addiction, getting bullied, whatever the case may be, we will be open to hearing your story. We have to learn to be there for each other.
I want our gym to not only make you physically stronger, but also mentally stronger as well.
I’m not trying to be a therapist, life coach, or do this for any other reason than to help others. I won’t be preaching, this will be an open group discussion.
