Following a fantastic win 11 - 1 against London England on Thursday, our Kelso 16U Babe Ruth All Star Baseball team's journey at the Babe Ruth World Series Tournament ended on Saturday with a close 2 - 1 loss to Puerto Rico. Bud Clary Auto group wants to express our pride in supporting a team capable of not only making to that level, but putting up a good fight while there! We're proud of the boys, and we'll be here for you next year!

Well, that was a hell of a championship game if we ever saw one. We took the loss to Puerto Rico 2-1, and while it's sad, we tip our hats to them for an incredibly well played baseball game.

Making the trip to a World Series is not something the majority of teams get to do. Being amongst greatness like we have been and winning several games was an amazing experience. We lived to see the last day of play in this tournament which is more than many of the teams can say!

We were also told SEVERAL times while we were here by other coaches, umpires and the umpire in chief that we had excellent sportsmanship and were praised for how well we represented our community back home throughout the tournament. This is the icing on the cake to a really great experience!!

We want to say thank you for the endless amount of support from back home, the fans who traveled across the country to be here with us, the sponsors who believed that our kids were worth their hard earned dollar, and the players and coaches for giving us a great run!!

Thank you, we love you, and our families are thankful you all took this ride with us!

Today our season comes to a close regardless of what it says on the scoreboard at the end of the game.

Talk about seeing a season ALL THE WAY through! Making it to a World Series is, and always has been, the goal each and every March that we have come back together for the last 8 years. We have been very close the last several years, but never quite had it.

The ability to have made it here and been able to experience this as a team, with our family, is something we cannot put a price on. It was worth every early wake up and late night. It was worth every practice we secretly hoped might get rained out (😂). It was worth every hotel stay and every trip through McDonald's when we couldn't stand another bite of fast food. It was worth all the money and time spent over the last 8 years to get to watch this group of boys perform on the biggest stage possible for them.

So here's to all the time and energy we have all put into this team since it took form and to it all being worth it to hopefully be able to call ourselves the diamond bracket champs in a WORLD SERIES!!!!

It's our day off, so here's a fun non game update ☺️

Over the last several days, our boys have made friends with the Chinese Taipei team from Taiwan! Yesterday they played in the quarter finals against Mexico, but their whole team is here with coaches as chaperones. With no fans in the stands our boys decided to stay and watch their game and cheer for them! Chinese won by the way 😉 (they haven't lost a game in 4 years 🤯).

This trip was about more than us coming to play baseball. We are proud of the boys and how they have played and battled back from losing the first 3 games, but we are more proud of their sportsmanship, their kindness, and the human beings they are!!

Another win in the books for us this morning! 11-1 over the UK moves us into the championship game of the diamond bracket on Saturday morning at 7am WA time!!!

We will have the day off tomorrow ⚾😄

Game 6 against the UK starts in about 15 minutes!! Loser out, so it's a must win to make it to the diamond bracket championship game on Saturday!!!!

One of the coolest parts of this whole experience has been meeting teams from other countries!

Our Kelso boys and the Chinese Taipei boys got to spend some quality time together tonight at our delayed opening ceremonies!

With a walk off from Lane Engkraf, we took the win this morning over the Midwest Plains 6-5!!!!

We play again tomorrow morning at 7am Washington time!

The boys finally looked alive today! Got the 17-4 win over New Zealand!
