Hello Upward Family,

After 6 ½ great years as Upward Director at Mobberly Baptist Church with much thought and prayer, I have decided to resign from my Upward Director position. Saying goodbye is bittersweet for me. I am trusting God with my new career path at Goosehead Insurance as a home and auto insurance agent. I have had the opportunity to work with great coaches, assistant coaches, refs, players, concession stand volunteers, and parents. I am proud of all we have done to build this Upward Sports Ministry. I will miss helping with coaches’ meetings, player evaluations, practices, games, and end-of-season celebrations. I want to express my gratitude for letting your kids be part of our Upward Ministry. I look forward to watching this Upward Sports ministry continue to grow. My family and I will still be in Longview cheering for all of you.

In the interim, Paul Coleman, Mobberly Serve Pastor, and Nanette Smith one of our administration assistants will be your contact people. They will be in contact with everyone soon on what the next steps are for this Upward Sports Ministry.

Due to wet fields, we are going to have to cancel the games that were scheduled for tonight.

Coaches, please come get your pictures before or after your game Saturday.

Hey guys remember this Sunday Upward Celebration, April 21, 4pm-6:30pm. Every Upward player will receive an Upward gift come to the Field House and get it. Can’t wait to see everyone there! 

Come out and join us for our Community Night THIS SUNDAY, April 21 from 4-6:30 p.m. This is a great time to fellowship, have fun with your family and friends, and hang out with our community!
