As most know I helped TSam build and design the first two Freedom Ryder’s that were ridden across the US. I was also one of the first two people to ride a handcycle, the Freedom Ryder. Max Weiland was the other one and also the first person to ride across AMERICA on a handcycle, the Freedom Ryder. Years later I was bit in the butt a second time with Post Polio Syndrome. I contracted Polio from a bad batch of the vaccine in the mid fifty’s. I am now an adaptive athlete. I live in Longmont Colorado, ten miles from the Rocky Mountains. I also owned two Bicycke Shops in Northern California, Bike America Elk Grove and South Sacramento. The license plate is from my shop van, “Bike Doctors”
