Join us for Paddle 101 at the Field Club, Sunday, October 4, from 1:00 'till 3:00 pm. (Rain date - Oct 11)
Open to all adult Field Club members.
If you've never played before or if you're looking to brush up on your technique, come join the fun.
We have plenty of new demo paddles for you to experiment with.
There is no charge, just put on some old sneakers and come on down.
We can also try to find you a group to play with.

Summer Pickleball at the Field Club!

Summer Pickleball at the Field Club came to a close this week following:
9 clinics with Coach Kelly (last clinic captured in the photo)
12 weekend play opportunities
40+ Field Club female participants

The A team WON the finals of the Greater Hartford Pickleball League for the first time! Here are some fun facts as well as a picture following our win:

15 team members played in at least one match
The team won 22/30 matches played
Kathleen Pittman earned MVP as she went UNDEFEATED in all the matches she played (six matches)!

We hope our members had fun learning and playing the game. In that same spirit we hope to continue to grow the pickleball game (and the number of A & B teams) at the FC in summers to come!

We would like to thank Team Captain, Kate Morneau and the Co-Captains: Trish Bloom, Marja Barr, and Marna Shields for all of their hard work this season!

Way to go Jr. Tennis Players!

We had an amazing summer of Jr. Tennis!
The FC thanks all of our Jr. Pros for hosting clinics, events, and championships to ensure juniors of all ages and skill levels improved, learned sportsmanship, and most importantly, had FUN!
We celebrated our Jr. Tennis players with a pizza party highlighting all of their accomplishments!

We wish all our Field Club kids a safe and happy school year and are counting down the days until summer 2027!

🀄Mahjong Monday at the Paddle Hut: Each Monday through the end of September please join us at the Paddle Hut at 7:00pm for Mahjong Monday. This is suitable for beginners and players alike. We have created a Team Reach to sign up. Check the Baseline or send us a message here, through Facebook, for more info about signing up.

Please indicate in the notes section if you are beginner or player and if you have a card table and/or a mahjong set. Please bring a snack/drink to share.

Thank you to Marja Barr and Diane Porfilio for hosting another amazing Luau! The Hawaiian decor made for a festive backdrop. The weather was perfect for evening tennis. 50 ladies attended and the courts were filled with bright colors and festive accessories. After tennis, there was delicious food and refreshing beverages.
This event is not to be missed. See you next year for the 4th annual Luau Ladies Mixer!
