This is a rare 1880s Rushton Guideboat, from the period before Rushton created his typical Saranac Laker design. Fully restored in our shop 20 years ago and now for sale at $12500, about 1/3 the replacement cost for such a fine antique. It's a buyer's market.

This lovely mahogany sloop, aged 68 and still sailing every summer, needs a new mooring. Here she's on Raquette Lake for the best sailing in the Adirondacks. Her class is being revived by the Independence Seaport in Philadelphia, which has rebuilt one sister-ship (see recent article in WoodenBoat Magazine) and is building another. Offers?
