How does strength training improve my confidence?
When we lift weights, we’re not only improving our physical strength. We’re also becoming more resilient mentally.
Doing hard things physically allows us to realize we can in fact do things that are hard or that we didn’t think we could do, and this translates into our lives outside of the gym as well. 🏋🏻‍♀️

Why should women Lift Fu***ng Heavy

-increases muscle tone. Lifting weights = getting more toned.

-increases physical strength. Being able to carry all of my Amazon packages in by myself is a great plus 💅🏻

-Increases mental strength. Doing hard things physically, helps you do hard things mentally as well.

-increases your metabolism. The more muscle tone you build, the more calories your body will burn at rest.

-Increases bone density. As we age, we’re more at risk for something called osteoporosis. Lifting weights helps combat that.

These are just a few of the reasons why women should lift heavy weights! 👯‍♀️

Should you worry about calories on thanksgiving?
Nope.
Unless you are prepping for a body building competition or have some sort of health problem, enjoy the extra food and drinks.
One day of some extra fun doesn’t ruin your hard work and progress.
BUT if your holiday turns into a month long bender, expect to see some of your progress disappear.

It’s all about balance and getting back on track to hit your goals after the holiday is over 🦃🍷🥧

And I had a freaking awesome time at this wedding! (Shout out to my friend for getting hitched).
If you are consistent MOST of the time, don’t sweat the small stuff when it comes to enjoying life.
But if you are ordering food out every time something good, bad, average happens and cancelling your workouts every week, that is how you are acting MOST of the time. So expect your results to reflect that.

No but really, focus on the things you can control, don’t worry about the things you can’t. Life is not super predictable a lot of the time so do your best to stay as close to your routine as possible, while still enjoying life. 🧘🏻‍♀️
