There are 3 levels of tracking your macronutrients:

Level 1 - Calories
Level 2 - Calories and Protein
Level 3 - Calories: Protein + Carbs + Fat

If you want to tone up and lose body fat, focus on Level 1 or 2.

Meal planning can be all out meal prepping for the week including shopping, cooking, pre-portioning, and cleaning all at once.

Or it can be simply writing down what and where you will eat that week as you portion your meals along the way.
